Discussion: Pence: Trump 'Has The Right To Defend Himself' Against Rep. John Lewis

It appears susPence believes His Excellency’s profound tone-deafness needs serious reinforcement.

“Whah whah whah! The mean old black man picked on me! Go tell everyone that I have the right to defend myself against the mean old black man! Whah whah!”

“There, there, little fella… here’s your binky. Now go sit with Ivanka and Jared and they’ll stroke your wig and tell you a nice story all about how you’re the smartest, bestest, strongest man who ever lived.”

Pence sounds like a parent - saying he is “deeply disappointed” in something his child has done. Well, Mike, “deeply disappointed” doesn’t even being to express how the majority of Americans feel about your upcoming administration.

Pensky, watch your step, or someone’s gonna remind you you too are illegitimate. And you still look like the self- flagellating monk in The DaVinci Code

@austin_dave trumpf grew up in a world where denying housing to blacks was a tradition. So to show respect and deference to man who’s in the House and is the conscience of the Congress is way beyond his grasp. The Don apologizes to no one. They apologize to him.

At least, for him, the man has a job. Not that he’ll be worth a damn doing it, but it probably saved his christian
ass from the unemployment line. Small c intentional. Twerp.

“If you’ll stop crying we’ll have the maid make you a nice cup of hot cocoa — with marshmallows! And maybe Barron will let you read his “Bland, Boxy Buildings” pop-up book again.”

Well, Mr. Pence, I was deeply disappointed to see America elect a man as president who questioned the legitimacy and citizenry of a black man who won the electoral and popular vote twice.

It’s not John Lewis’ fault that Trump and his administration have invited questioning and mistrust. No one made him surround himself with people who just seem to love Russia. No one is keeping him from speaking an ill word against Putin (at least no one in this country).

Trump and Pence best get used to this. They own the whole pathetic shebang.

Funny—Trump did NOT defend himself. Actually he never defends himself against any charges. Is there something missing upstairs?!

Trump could have said, “I understand your concerns Represetative Lewis. I will do everything I can to earn your trust and bring honor to this office.”

He didn’t say that, though, because he doesn’t intend to do either.

I wish one of the bubblehead reporters would ask Pence to explain how what Trump wrote is a defense.

Never brought up by the media — as if it never happened! — is the context that Trump created and fed a 5 year campaign of delegitimizing Obama’s credentials for President. with the Birth Cert. Canard, seemingly supported by many many politicians and media outlets. Now that something similar is thrown back in his face — with more basis in fact —he can’t handle it. And so Pence gets to go on tv and dissemble and pretend to be the aggrieved adult in the room.

Pence has a right to put a sock in it.

Offensive is the best defensive?

Pence should get used to his “disappointment” because once HE takes over, it’s just going to continue as before. There will never be any sort of respect given to either of these scum. It’s gonna be a non stop fight and cries of illegitimacy.

Trump “has the right to defend himself,”

Typical GOP fake indignation and pearl clutching. This is the bullshit “civility” plea, that these miscreants prattle about, whenever they get hit with a truth bomb. Tell us something original, you reprehensible, wee, little shit-scold. Who gives a fuck what you think?

And something tells me that Trump is going to excercise his “right” to “defend himself” quite a lot in future.

It could have been worse.

Congressman Lewis could have rightly called him “not a legitimate billionaire”.

That really would have stung.

maybe you could remind Cheeto Donnie that he has the right to remain silent and suggest he exercise that…

and could someone explain to the White Monk that your rights are defined by the Constitution… while you’re free to speak, at least for another seven days or so, ‘defending’ oneself is not a right as defined by the Constitution…
