Republican are The Caretakers. They’ve always been The Caretakers. Now we’re the ones who are going to be “corrected”.

This photo shows why they will eventually fall out of power, because it doesn’t look like America now, and looks even less like American in 4, 8, 12 years. They won’t govern for all Americans because they don’t realize what all of America is, and that lack will make them govern only for the people they think are the “real America”. That way lies their destruction.

You are incorrect. David Daley in his book “Ratf**ked” wrote a convincingly researched account of the failure of Democrats to deal with the 2010 Census, an event that permitted Republicans to redraw Congressional districts to their favor. The resulting gerrymandering went a long way in cementing Republican majorities for future elections. I expect the 2018 midterms and the 2020 Presidential contest will see similar further entrenchment of Republican majorities. The GOP controls 33 Statehouses. The Electoral College disadvantages presented Democrats (their constituencies are concentrated largely in but a handful of highly populated states), gerrymandered districts, majority GOP controlled state legislatures. The convergence of all these cripples democracy by over-representation of minority interests (dwindling conservative/white/evangelical voters) in state and national elections. The nation’s structure as far as Congressional districts is concerned, the way they’re drawn, and the fact it’s all designed to assure GOP supremacy for many years beyond their true representation in the national electorate, means the increasingly diverse populace will lag at least a generation behind their rightful ascent to power from a strictly numerical standpoint.

I think you’re right… but unfortunately it is a picture of the America that votes… Once again, “minorities” chose not to vote their own interests this election, so white people get to continue to be in power in disproportionate number…

The Shining picture was taken at a dance, so half the people were women.

Q: What has two thumbs and gives blowjobs?

(Come on, you know you thought it.)

Funny, that’s why people were sure Clinton would win in 2016, and why Obama won in 2008. Maybe next time?

I generally agree with what the Democratic party stands for but is our strategy really “wait around until there are more minorities voting”? That seems like a fools errand. The more the minority becomes a majority the less they’ll feel a connection with the party that tries to serve the underserved. It’s like we’re just counting on the GOP to be racist forever.
