Discussion: Pence Hits Scripted Dems As Trump Camp Calls Kaine 'Unhinged' In Unison

Not only did they use the exact same words, they used them 90 minutes before the debate even started.

If only I had known about this strategy when I took the SATs…I could have called out the whole thing as rigged and denounced the kids that scored higher than me for being over prepared, and thus boosted my score up to 1500.

Who knew being prepared was bad? Oh, and someone should give the Boy Scouts a call and have them change their motto from “Be Prepared” to “Don’t Prepare”

Is this the best you got, you cheap Trumpian grifters? That’s some pretty weak shit.

To borrow Hillary Clinton’s observation, it’s as if the Trump camp thinks being prepared to serve as one of the two highest elected officials in the free world is a liability.

It’s not wasted effort, folks.

Not to worry. In a day or so Trump will go off the rails again about something and they will all busy themselves spinning and Trumpsplainin’ exactly what he meant. Pence is such a lightweight it’s not worth even getting excited.

Again with the painfully obvious “I’m rubber, you’re glue” projection thing. Maybe someone should tell these dullard tweens writ large that this particular rhetorical trap doesn’t actually, you know, work. Even when we were 9 years old we’d have rolled our eyes.

Apparently the Republican consensus is that neither Kaine nor Trump is qualified for high office.

Kaine’s dad humor lines were so cringe-inducing I hit the mute button, but at least they were grounded in reality. Pence’s attacks were straight out of the alternative universe where he’s the running mate of a normal Republican PotUS candidate…or the PotUS candidate himself.

The SATs might not be the best example. Some of us were glad to only waste one Saturday morning on that nonsense and be done with it.

Trump’s position is more akin to going to your boss to ask for a raise when you can’t be bothered remember her name.

They keep using that word but I’m not sure they know what it means. Kaine might have been pushy and perhaps a little rude (not that Pence’s BS didn’t deserve it) but he clearly wasn’t “unhinged”. That word means “un-directed” in that hinges keep a door within its assigned scope and function.
Unhinged is going off on Rosie O’Donnell with 84 million people watching a national debate.
Unhinged is declaring “That makes me smart” for finding every loophole not to pay taxes when saying so makes you look worse.
Unhinged is denying some that is easy shown to be true.
Unhinged is declaring you have a great temperament after you’ve already shown yourself to be unhinged.
Unhinged is declaring you have tremendous stamina compared to your opponent after you’re see staggering around after getting your clock cleaned by your opponent who hasn’t broken a sweat.
They might want to rethink their choice of words. This is clearly driven by Trump’s own desire to not be seen as unhinged and it isn’t working.

Agree.

Trump’s tweets suggest the soon-to-be-obscure tabloid character doesn’t seem to realize Pence tossed him under the bus…

Trump has called the composed, “dull” Hillary Clinton “unhinged”. Look…I am not concerned with Trump in the least. I am concerned with things like

  • "False Equivalency folks like AP
  • MSM HorseRace advocates like Nicolle Wallace and Chris Mathews**

The entirety of the Trump campaign is a perversion of “show business”.

** oddly enough, it was Chick Toad who DID NOT fall all over himself to crown Mike Pence “The King of Debates”. He correctly stated that the lies and separation from Trump will hurt both him and the Trump campaign in the future. My take on Mathews and Wallace is that they both are simply MSM whores in love with the misery they are inflicting on the American people with the damned HorseRace model.

Let me see if I have this straight. “Calm and cool” = phony, passionless, and “overprepared” when Clinton does it; awesome when Pence does it. Interrupting and raising your voice a lot = “unhinged” when Kaine does it but just Donald being Donald when Trump does it.

I have to admit, when I think of Trump, the first quality that comes to mind is hinged. Very hinged.

There calling him unhinged b/c every time Pence talked out his ass Kaine wanted to fact check him…

It’s curious that about the most damning criticism of Hillary that they could come up with was that she “sometimes seemed over-prepared”.

When it comes to choosing a President based on the over/under on the preparedness scale, I think I’d go with the over (every time).

The face to face chat format only works with an intimidating, whip cracking moderator who can keep the lions growling from their risors. Ms. Quijano was too easily steam-rolled by pols with too much on the line, a possibility that should have dawned on event planners.
