if Trump is actually rapidly decompensating (as he appears to be) is publicly humiliating him by calling for a family intervention really the right thing to do?

If, in fact, Trump is losing it, shouldn’t Pelosi be working behind the scenes to get Pence to deal with it through the 25th amendment?

Grasping at straws. Not enough to convict, not even close. “Definite possible” Wow. And I love the all capitalization on “knowing” - so convincing. Like they just knew Romney would win.

YES! Absolutely.

so now you’re gone from “no votes to convict” to “not enough to convict”

No, Paul, I went from “name me 20; name me 10.” But I still love your “definite possible” on Alexander. How did his state vote last time? By what margin?

Trust any of the Senate Republicans? Seriously? Think Charlie Brown, Lucy and the football.

What is more important, dear citizen, is winning in November 2020.

Why are you worried about Trump being publicly humiliated when that is what he does to others daily? If the death of 1,000 cuts works, go for it. At this point we need him gone however that happens. I find your concern curious.

Now that’s an intervention.

I would call what you described meditation. Prayer has a negative connotation for me, as in asking for something material, which can only be obtained at the expense of others, like finding a parking place in a busy lot, getting rich, winning a sports event, war, etc., etc., etc.

She’s waiting for his staff or family to have an intervention? She is the Speaker of the House and can organize an intervention any time that she wants. It’s B called Impeachment and instituting the process is called leadership.

People are saying something equivalent to Pelosi is going after trump with a stiletto? However she’s going after him he will be brought down and she’ll be the Speaker when that happens.

No, no, that’s “I hate you! I hate you!” as all adults who have had to discipline children know

I’m not. I’m worried about a decompenating personality being in charge of the armed forces.

Like charity, prayer takes many forms, the lowest of which is centered on one’s self. Most of what passes for prayer is an ostentatious performance for selfish reasons, such as “gimme what I want” or “look how godly I am” or “send me your money.” That sort of behavior is so prevalent, it has tainted the meaning of the word. It’s not just the Televangelists and the Uriah Heeps and the Missionaries, but they are rather egregious and ubiquitous in our fair country. Ever so and ever shall be.

According to rabbinic tradition, the highest form of charity is given in quiet anonymity to unknown recipients with no recognition or motive of reward. Similarly, the highest form of prayer is a free expression of the joyfulness of being, whatever the circumstances one finds oneself.

Right-O, especially since the last thing you want is to actually win. Winning is just not pure enough.
