Agree. But we still have to accept the reality that the modern GOP rarely, if ever, operates in good faith. They are not a democratic governing body. They are anti democracy. They are, effectively, fascists. Domination is all they truly care about. Any candidate who tries to Jedi mind trick away that reality with a hand wave gets a suspicious look from me. Because that one-way good faith becomes easily exploited.

In the full context of his remarks, what he was saying was that sometimes you’re forced to sit down and swallow your bile and work with even the most deplorable motherfuckers to GET WHAT YOU WANT.
And, it’s true. FDR did it. LBJ did it. A bunch of founding fathers did it.
The part where he said that the cracker ass cracker called him “son” instead of “boy” was meant to highlight the fact that Old Joe knew what kind of an asshole he was stuck dealing with.

Running against the Republicans and their MSM allies means this is still a bad mistake because they are worse 10 fold… this is an issue that will bedevil us should Joe get the nod.
It’s easy for all of us to armchair quarterback, but I wouldn’t take on Nancy Pelosi in a knife fight, and she has got a plan for Donnie, even if it’s death by 1,000 cuts.
