Pivot to healthcare as often as possible. An absolute losing issue for GOPs.

Nancy rocks, so relieved and glad she holds the gavel and willing to metaphorically beat trump and Rs over the head with it.

Another of example of Trump’s ideas on health care.

Thank you Speaker Pelosi. More of this please.

And she did it so deftly… a couple of strong statements on the Mueller Report/Barr Memo and moves on to sharp focus - with or extensive remarks - onto healthcare.

Don’t worry, soon we’ll be hearing about “Infrastructure Week” again.

It’s always infrastructure week.

I could do with less metaphor, myself.

Completely OT: I was out for a rare drive early this morning and I came across a billboard partly obscured but a traffic light pole and a tree. For the letters I could see it read, “_merica fu___d ___ head.”

I interpreted it, of course, as “America, fucked in the head.” I’m rather certain that it didn’t really say that, but I was laughed enough that I didn’t see what it really read. A rather appropriate statement I thought, for these times.

Barr was also hired for the Coverup. That part will be far more difficult and require far more skills than doing a “Johnny’s Book Report” on a detailed document of hundreds of pages.

However, the damage that Barr was able to inflict was considerable…and this damage must be revisited so as to assess accurately the state the country is now in:

(1) Barr cleared Trump of wrongdoing in his summary, enough so that (2) occurred.

(2) MediaWhores took the Barr summary and announced, essentially, exoneration

(3) In so doing, the OSC and Mueller were completely discredited in the public view

(4) Mueller was discredited and is now thought by many to be a GOP hack

(5) Trump has assumed (correctly) that he is Above the Law

The good news is that, outside of the world of MediaWhores (NOT journalists, but ACCESS-to-the-power drones who call themselves “journalists”), the American people by and large still think Trump is a crook.

And the second bit of good news is that, as the Coverup progresses–and new indications of Trump’s depravity and thuggery and criminality come to fore–the Coverup will be seen as nefarious and deviant as the actions for which Trump has been accused

Yes he will feel freer to act out on his impulses. He has lost that flailing, they have me pinned down behavior almost overnight. So he is going to really show people who he is if they have their eyes open. Media is the great hypnotizer and I have despairingly low expectations of the American public. We will see if 50% of this country has their head on straight, can walk and chew gum, and remember who we were.

There are some aspects of the present-day vilification of Bob Mueller (post Barr summary).

  • Mueller is a Republican, he will NEVER betray the Party

  • Mueller is a by the book person and cannot see the forest for the trees

  • Mueller and Barr have a bromance

I do not vilify Mueller at the present time. It’s part hunch and part knowing what I do about societies.
