Cruella da climber…
“That’s not the Kirstjen we know.”
That’s like saying “This isn’t who we are as a nation,” and both are wrong.
If we didn’t have an inherent nastiness within us as a people, now encouraged by leadership rather than suppressed, we wouldn’t as a nation be tolerating Trump. And if Kirstien didn’t have a serious streak of hate within her, she wouldn’t be where she is today.
"Whoever fights monsters should see to it that in the process he does not become a monster. And if you gaze long enough into an abyss, the abyss will gaze back into you." – Friedrich Nietzsche
“That’s not the Kirstjen we know.”
Let me tell ya sad news, you former colleagues… that’s because you. just. didn’t. know.
Feckless
Most Catholics in Europe were as anti-semetic as the rest of the population. And the Popes were no help.

It’s like “The Crying Game” but instead of finding out your girlfriend has an outie, you learn that she’s a Nazi Fembot, bent on forcibly exporting any one darker than copy paper. Tough news.
“That’s not the Kirstjen we know.”
Sure, sure. But it is clearly the Kirstjen WE know.
“She either loses this spectacular job, or she does the bidding of a President who is using these kids in a game of brinkmanship so he can get his wall,”
That Kirstjen might think that working for this man and carrying out this policy is something to be considered a “spectacular job” tells us all we need to know about her. Color me not shocked by her supposed sudden transformation.
“Greed, avarice and ambition have a funny way of helping people justify acts of abject cruelty, eh?” , plus true belief have always been the motivations for atrocity.
It’s a good illustration of the intersection of the capitalist Golden Rule - he who has the gold, rules - and the quote attributed to Churchill - "Madam, we’ve already established that. Now we are haggling about the price.”
Who knew that caging babies could be so fulfilling. She is so proud to work for President Baby Jailer.

“Gee, when I knew her as a kid, she only pulled wings off of flies and tortured small, defenseless animals. Who would have thought it would lead to this?”
[/quote]It was the pleasure she took in using a magnifying glass on ants that should have tipped you off.
No one should be shocked that any Dump hireling would turn out to be a cruel, specious, hateful POS. That’s what they were hired for - to be little Don the Con’s bought and paid for political whore, sign the NDA, and bide time until he tweet fires them.
It ain’t rocket science, look at the source. What else did they expect.
Psychopaths are very adept and can be very sweet to achieve their evil ends. Remember Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde?
Not to be a downer, but can you think of ANY people offhand that don’t have a dark side? Hopefully, humans may eventually evolve out of it, but so far I doubt Vegas would give you good odds on it…
I think we can throw in a little Lord Acton here, too. Getting more power was bound to corrupt an already corrupt little orange fuzzball even further. It made him worse.
Agreed! Staying out of a “sense of duty” sure has gotten old.
