Discussion: Paul Ryan Says Nunes Spoke To A 'Whistle-Blower Type Person'

Oh, the excitement…!

Ryan sure sounds sort of kind of confident there.
Stating that the information will be given to Congress really creates a dichotomy. I predict that Nunes will disclose something completely unrelated to what he may or may not have found that evening.

In order to be a whistle blower then there needs to be an emergency situation to stop which is why you “blow the whistle”. Ryan admits that the information given to Nunez was about the previous administration, and so it cannot be something that needs to be stopped.

This is a leak, and only a leak, because it is someone at the White House giving information helpful to the White House to an ally in Congress.

“He briefs me about it, didn’t know the content of it, only knew the nature of it and that he was going to brief others.”

Why was he going to brief others if he didn’t know what he was briefing them on?

And we know this how? Did Nunes reveal his top-secret-forever, never-tell-anyone-ever source? I thought whistle-blowers were the enemy of the Republican party. Surely Nunes would never trust the word of a lowly illegal whistle-blower. Ryan, you’re slipping deeper into the hole of irrelevance.

Liar! You are getting more entangled in this sticky web, Paul. Is Donald really worth a stay in federal prison?

Give cover, dodge, dodge, give cover. Quite a little dance, Speaker Ryan - oops I think you stepped on the toes of your message - it’s a bit weak and wobbly.

Paul, please clarify. What kind of whistle blower? Important and vital to know. Deepthroat type like this?

Paul. Just stop. It’s painful.

With the intent that said ally in Congress reveals it back to the WH - in full visibility (hey let’s have a press conference!) so it appears to exonerate the making of libelous claims by this president against the former president.

So he spoke to a crank in other words! And invested the rubbish “tip” with solomonic Authority!

Wow. On top of every other rotten thing you can observe about Paul Ryan, he’s also a shitty liar!

We’re going to need a new vocabulary to survive this Administration. This was a “false whistleblower” operation.

All of the evidence seems to suggest that Paul Ryan has turned mole and has been recruited by and collaborating with President Putin and Russian intelligence. Remember, he was the Chair of the Convention and made sure that the Russian Ambassador and Russian seats were invited, given ringside seats, and given full access to Mike Pence, Jared Kushner, Mike Flynn, Jeff Sessions, Rex Tillorsen, Wilbur Ross and others in the Republican leadership with deep records of collaborating with Russian intelligence on national security matters.

For a very serious, wonkish person (/s) his speech is degenerating into Trump’s Syndrome territory. Who knew dementia was contagious?

Although, to be fair, he’s very skilled as a faker. Pretending to care, to have a core philosophy, to be knowledgeable about policy, to be a nice guy, a reasonable guy, all that—come on, credit where due. And all the more because none of it, not one particle, was real. But yeah, extemporaneous lying, he’s got a lot of work to do.
