Yeah. Seems like a tactical smokescreen to me. He’s giving it some time, playing into the “Trump is a wildcard” narrative, then down the road Ryan will claim that “Wow! Trump is a changed man and is now imbued with all the fine qualities that make the perfect President!”

Yeah ok, I’ll give it about a week and then after “a very productive meeting with the candidate” where Ryan is impressed by his plans to cut taxes on the wealthy and throw millions off the ACA, the endorsement comes.
Because, as you all know, Ryan is the wonky policy genius of the GOP.
He’ll never endorse Trump, let alone give anything more than the most tepid “support.” Ryan isn’t so stupid as to end his career on that note.
