âPlease keep the victims and their families in your prayers right now.â
âŚand never, ever consider doing a god damn thing about the god damn guns. Yeah, Iâll say it, God damn America.
House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) asked for a moment of silence Wednesday for the victims of a mass shooting in San Bernardino, California as he kicked off a Christmas tree lighting ceremony in Washington, D.C.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaand thatâll do for recognition of this event. No reason to attempt to enact change. He asked for a moment of silence, no need to go any further. No problems here. These are not the guns youâre looking for. Move along, move along.
OT. Ryan looks like a B-Rated gay porn actor with that beard.
What would it take for these politicians to realize that it could be a member of their family who loses his/her life in the middle of an innocent situation? I donât understand how they canât comprehend this.
Wonder if heâs thinking and praying about those affected by this tragedy, and the first respondersâŚ
Too bad these 14 Americans werenât killed in Benghazi. Republicans in Congress might have actually cared.
Each one has their job. Besides, Godâs too busy to attend to the awesome duties of being speaker, and He finds the budget way too technical. So all thatâs on Paul Rian, while Hisownself continues to work 24/7 on stopping the all powerful natural born black dude Obama from taking everyoneâs guns,
This is part of the problem. Gun control advocates let the right wingers set the narrative. âItâs too soon to talk about this senseless tragedyâ turns into inaction until yet another mass murder spree takes place. Control advocates need to stop this now.
They understand all too well. And part of me suspects that Wayne LaParanoid reminds them their families could be in the crosshairs as easily as their seat can be primaried by an NRA supporter.
âAnd thatâs about all weâre gonna do causeâŚfreedom.â
âHouse Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) asked for a moment of silence Wednesday for the victims of a mass shooting in San BernardinoâŚ.â
Were NRA lobbyists in the chamber able to stifle high-fives and âka-ching, ka-chingâ titters for even that length of time?
(One manâs tragedy is anotherâs fundraising goldâŚ)
I couldnât agree more. However, I believe the answer to your query is âcritical thinkingâ and âempathy.â Conservatives are in short supply of both. I donât know why â some scientists hypothesize it might be chemical, and there are studies on this, but itâs also proved that these can be learned as well. Learning is another issue.
A disproportionate number of these shits are psychopaths.
As someone else on another thread pointed out to meâand it makes great senseâwhat weâre going for is proper gun safety. âGun controlâ sounds like someone wants o take something away. âGun safetyâ sounds a lot more acceptable to the manyâand there are manyâwho are in the middle on this issue but lean to proper âcontrol.â Semantics, yes, but I think they have a point. Martin OâMalley is framing the issue that way, and I believe he is right.
Thatâs all fine and good. Now, what are you going to do about it? And, yes, Congress can do something about these shooting tragedies.
Self-identified conservatives have been found to THINK differently than those who are more moderate or even liberal.
In an IQ sense they are no more nor less intelligent that anyone else, but they think âbinaryâ â yes/no, right/wrong, true/false.
Just me thinking, but I believe âcritical thinkingâ might be described in large part as the ability to correlate, bring together the two (intelligence and empathy).
Did they do that much for the Planned Parenthood Massacre?
Hell no. But they âprayedâ for the dead clumps of cells.
