I don’t know what “decisions” he actually has at this point. Seems to me he violated his plea agreement and faces potentially significant jail time, which is up to the judge. The Special counsel has made it clear he was very uncooperative and cost them an opportunity to interview a person of interest (Mifsud) effectively. I think Papadopoulos is in big trouble here unless he gets a Pardon.

I don’t think ‘she’ understands that when he pled guilty, he PLED GUILTY.

He not only pled guilty to lying, the evidence seemed pretty much incontrovertible. I don’t think he will try to pull out of the deal; the argument will be over whether he breached the plea agreement and is therefore open to be charged with additional crimes, or whether he cooperated fully. I suspect he is being pressured by Trumpsters to say that Mueller’s team wanted him to lie (not just to sing but to compose, as Judge Ellis put it), which will then give Trump an excuse to pardon him before he serves any time. I’m not so sure…seems to me that the only reason to consider this would be if he has been offered a pardon or if he is being threatened. With his signed statement and original guilty plea, I can’t see how he thinks he would win a trial. There has to be more there, which would undoubtedly fit the definition of ‘obstruction of justice’.

If Trump is aware that a pardon means that Papadopoulos won’t be able to plead the 5th when Mueller questions him again about the Russian connection- then ‘Papa’ is going to be spending a very looooong time in prison.
[Given the quality of his legal team, I don’t know if we can assume Trump knows any of this]

What is he out of his mind? He’s a young guy with a beautiful and seemingly supportive wife. Keep the deal. Go to jail for a few months. Spend the time working on a book. And voila. Whole new start. Don’t be an idiot and risk double digit years in prison.
