Well, what did he expect? Once Trump told him that he would be kept on, he should have known his days were numbered.

Urges Public Servants To ‘Say No To The President’

They said no to Obama for 8 years
Just imagine it was Hillary pulling this shit and it will be easy.
If it was Hillary they would have erected the gallows and swung the rope over the upright.

Bring him on.

This is the holy day of Blessed St. Dymphna.., the patron saint of mental illness. Or Republicans, depending on your faith.

Right. Bring it on. Right. Where and when?

I read this article and the headline is accurate, Bharara says this but most of the op-ed is about defending Comey and explaining the crisis at DOJ from the Gonzalez stuff that Josh got his huge award for. 2007-ish. Comey was Preet’s boss at one time and he respects him.

Then Bharara ends with a call for a special counsel and a weird note to Rosenstein:

My former colleague, now-Deputy Attorney General Rod J. Rosenstein, is a respected career prosecutor but has mostly deserved the doubts he generated with his peculiar press-release-style memo purporting to explain Comey’s sudden sacking. He can still fix it. The move would not only ensure the independence of the investigation, but also provide evidence of Rosenstein’s own independence.

I imagine Trump is wandering around the White House alone, in his bathrobe, muttering to himself:

Why aren’t these people gone? I FIRED THEM! When I fired people in business, they were just gone … somewhere else … to other jobs, or unemployment, or retirement, whatever. I didn’t have to keep seeing them on FOX or CNN. I didn’t have to keep hearing about them from the people who read the Times, the Journal, and USAToday to me. Why isn’t it like that in government? I’M PRESIDENT, GOD DAMN IT! They should be MORE gone! Why are these people I fired all still on TV, haunting me, criticizing me? Why does the fake media keep putting them on AFTER I FIRED THEM!?!?!? WHY???

Has the committee decided when Comey will testify? The pressure is building for serious action here. Maybe we’ll get some big news this week.

Wait, wait – Nikki Haley says no one can say no to the President because he’s America’s CEO or God or something. Saying no to Donald Trump is like denying America’s greatness. America can’t be great again without Donald Trump. If you say no to Donald Trump and America doesn’t become great again, it will be all your fault. As they say in Paris, “quelle merde.”

Haven’t seen this scheduled. The only thing I’ve seen so far is that Comey is willing to testify before the Senate Intelligence Committee if and only if the hearing is public. That’s what I read last Thurs-Fri. Last Friday, Warner told CBS News that Comey would not appear before the committee on Tuesday. That’s the SIC.

Feinstien, Whitehouse, Graham and Grassley also could call Comey to Senate Judiciary because they have oversight of the FBI. His firing, and dealings he had with the executive branch could all be under their purview.

But so far I don’t know if Congress is willing to make this happen at all. They are total cowards where Trump is concerned. When it’s Hillary they’re the biggest baddest cops on the planet, with Trump they cower and comply. The public furor might compel them bring him in for testimony, hopefully.

This probably didn’t make Mr. Bharara too happy either:

Comey fired, now this. Are all investigations into Russian money laundering (in the US real estate market) slowly going to shut down now?? This is not good.

“Holy card” - those unfamiliar with Catholic holy cards may be confused by “holy day.” This is from a company that prints them:

The custom of distributing Catholic prayer cards, also called holy cards, or sometimes mass cards, is a centuries old tradition of the Catholic Church. The oldest surviving Catholic prayer card is St. Christopher and dates back to 1423. Holy cards bear a religious image with a favorite verse or prayer and are used to commemorate special moments such as First Communion, Confirmation or even a family reunion. Prayer cards are commonly distributed at funerals with a favorite prayer, the name and dates of the deceased and serve as a reminder to pray for the dead. These holy cards have an unlimited amount of use and may be creatively imprinted as long term keepsakes. Prayer cards are great gift ideas for religious education classes, greeting card accents and much more.

I’d like to see Comey sit down with Rachael Maddow for 90+ minutes.
