O’Reilly already come pretty close to that description by insisting this Medrano-Carbo was not his cameraman, despite Medrano’s contention that he shot 90% of Bill-O’s footage.
“I never worked with Ignacio Medrano-Carbo. This is nothing more than yet another coordinated attack which predictably comes on the heels of my appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman," O’Reilly said.
Emphasis on the word “coordinated.” It’s not just one man disputing O’Reilly’s claims. It’s a “coordinated” effort – read “conspiracy” – to make him look bad. O’Reilly is too all-powerful to be taken down by any one person; it requires a “coordinated attack” to slay O’Reilly because he’s the Goliath of cable news.
At least in his own mind, he is.
This is the ultimate response from a serial liar. I am the victim of a conspiracy!
O’Reilly doesn’t care who he steps on, who he disrespects, who he throws under the bus, as long as the Shining Light of O’Reilly lives on. He’s an attention-starved punk in a grown man’s body who at least one time stumbled onto the quotations of H.L. Mencken and he figured the aphorism was worth a shot: “No one ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American people.”
You tell 'em, Bill. You make sure everyone in TV Land knows who’s boss.
I have absolutely no doubt that Bill-O is primed and prepped to play the final scene in A Face in the Crowd.
