Discussion: O'Reilly's Camerman In Argentina Rejects Fox Host's Falklands Tale

You forget truthiness is truer than truth and the Fox fantasyland defense. George Costanza said it best:

I can’t remember a story where I “liked” so many comments, just rolling down the page, one after another. Much winfulness, there is.

“One day he’s going to get a knock on his door and life as he’s known it will change forever.”

LOL, does this mean we may see Senator David Corn too?

You had me right until the Von Trapp episode. That is clearly, entirely false.

It’s confirmed: Bull O’Really is a bald-face liar. Wait on it…Wait on it; soon O’Really will be calling this cameraman a ‘left-wing liar’ influenced by Mother Jones!!!

Actually, other than some upward blips on nights when O’Reilly was supposedly “responding” to charges, his ratings have not made any significant change. See here for a look at the ratings charts for the show:

http://mediamatters.org/blog/2015/03/25/the-dishonesty-behind-oreillys-late-show-fabric/203043

Like so many things on Fox, the tactic is to ignore the question, assert that ratings are up as a result of the accusations from the liberal media and keep repeating that until it becomes “truthy”

He was actually Rolf in that situation.

Does anyone seriously think this will impact Fox or the lying liar known as Bill O’Reilly?

Fox News, O’Reilly and more importantly their audience don’t care if the shit that gets shoveled by them is true or not. They want their biases and fears validated. Not challenged.

“I never worked with Ignacio Medrano-Carbo. This is nothing more than
yet another coordinated attack which predictably comes on the heels of
my appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman," O’Reilly said.

Actually, Bill, this is what journalism looks like. I’m not surprised you don’t recognize it.

Kudos to TPM. Keep it up.

So true. In fact, it can be argued that, in terms of raw venom, those on FOX “news” are quite tame in comparison to those who watch them.

His ratings stayed the same but other folks’ went down so to him that means his jumped.

He’s already suggested that David Corn be “in the kill zone. J/K!”

Has anyone bothered to ask CBS who the cameraman they paid to work with O’Reilly at that time?

Its all stated in the cited Mother Jones article. O’Reilly claims a CBS soundman, Roberto Moreno, was his cameraman. Ignacio Medrano-Carbo, and Jim Forrest, the crew’s soundman, confirm Medrano-Carbo’s account, as does his video, which O’Reilly used, and a BBC documentary showing Medrano-Carbo.

Not to mention there are no mortuary records because O’Reilly personally conducted battlefield post-mortems while under hostile fire, determined the causes of death, carried out the trials, sentenced the culprits, and buried the dead.
Did I mention he did this all while under fire?

So, no one confirms Oreilly’s lies, pretty much everyone involved in all of them disputes his vivid memory and somehow in Oreilly’s twisted egomaniac world, that computes to truth.

He’s lying and his audience loves it, that’s the simple truth.

So what excuse do Roger Ailes and Rupert Murdoch have this time?

The news stories that are broadcast on their shows have low reliability. And that’s before we talk about the slant the various people on Fox News give to those stories.

And here’s another one!
