7-11 is a gambling term.

guess that make’s trumpy’s head filled with Craps

Are you serious? They love stuff like this. Even FOX has it as a “huge” story.

Every mainstream media outlet is covering this. So you actually have the wrong perspective on it. The reality is that this is stupid BS that should not be a huge story in the MSM.

This is silly nonsense. Everyone misspeaks. Obama once accidentally said he had been in all 57 states. Obviously he knows there are 50 states, and in that instance he meant to say “all 50”, realized he had not been in 3, and instead of 47 said 57. So what? Same here. Trump is a flaming butthole, but I prefer to attack him on policy, not because of misspeaking. Every person who can speak has misspoken.

Agreed. Anyone who’s on the campaign trail is in a mental blender, and should get a “pass” for the occasional slip of the tongue.

(If I’m not mistaken, I think Obama was referring to the 57 primaries and caucuses, which cover the states, D.C., and various territories. So the number didn’t come out of thin air.)

Well, we know it didn’t come out of thin air. Remember all those crazy emails from everybody’s drunk uncle that claimed “57 states” was an allusion to 57 Muslim countries? That’s still one of the dumbest Obama conspiracy theories to date, and the competition is fierce.

Exactly. Given how many speeches these people give, its shocking that they don’t make even more mistakes like this. And Trump isn’t a politician who has been giving stump speeches his entire adult life.

There is more than enough to savage the guy on. This one won’t make my short list for this fall.

Now, more internal shakes up in the Trump campaign, however…that’s just fun stuff

@misterneutron

maybe you’re both right about people being allowed to make a slip of the tongue but sometimes the slip can be just as revealing… for someone professing to be a REAL New Yorker you’d like to think that the date would actually be memorable enough to actually get right…

To me this is his safest, best opportunity to say he was wrong about a thing, so what who cares we all do it. Any sane person would laugh it off. WHAT WILL TRUMP DO!?!?! Stay tuned!

Actually it was what I said (video at link below). He was definitely tired from traveling, and was about to say he had been in all 50 states. He then remembered he had only been on the mainland, and still had one state left there, which left 47. But he said 57.

Very honest mistake, just like this one. 7-11 is a common term obviously. Had he said 8-11, that might have been odd…but still just misspeaking. Conservatives went ballistic on 57 states. And liberals going ballistic on this are just as dopey in my opinion.

Sorry, but that’s the same logic the people who criticized Obama on the 57 states thing did. The OIC (Organization of the Islamic Conference) actually has 57 member states. So they claimed that’s why Obama said 57.

That was silly nonsense, and so is this.

Now that is a different issue. If he laughs it off (as Obama did on 57 states), this is still a nothing. If he starts out with “we know 9/11 undercover terrorists were working in 7-11’s, I was just trying to point out that fact”…it’s time for the men in the white coats.

Well, this could explain one thing. Maybe what he actually remembers seeing is thousands of Muslims cheering the opening of a new 7-11 store. :grinning:

I agree though, that all this looking for and criticizing these kinds of verbal slips is getting ridiculous. And the fact that Fox is promoting this one just proves it.

Oh I think that time passed a LONG time ago.

So lemme guess…it was on 7/11 when he saw all those Muslims cheering in NJ and oh, he left out that they had slurpees to celebrate too.

Who would have thought any politician could be more stupid than Sarah Palin? It’s for certain if such a person existed, the GOP would find him.

711 is where GOP anarchists, the TeaParty and religious fanatics shop for votes these days. Conservatives don’t even bother to try to shop for facts or reality.

“I saw the bravest people I’ve ever seen, including the construction workers, including every [my emphasis] person down there,”

Apparently, either he didn’t have a mirror, or doesn’t categorize himself as a person.

The Donald has confused the two ever since he walked in for a Slurpee’ and …
