Sorry, I don’t have my scorecard handy … which ones were the dogs and which ones were the ponies?

Nielsen, declining to name Russia, said only: “I fully share the intelligence community’s assessments and past efforts and those today to interfere with our election and of the current threat. Our adversaries have shown they have the willingness and capability to interfere in our elections.”

Does Nielsen consider Russia to be an “adversary”?

Her boss doesn’t seem to.

And within her bit of word salad, I see she thinks "Our adversaries have shown they have the willingness and capability to interfere in our elections.”

How about their “desire and intent”? And their “concerted, strategic and ongoing actions”?

It’s so comforting to know that Dan Coats still hasn’t got clue what trump and Putin spoke about in Helsinki.

In all fairness to Trump’s advisors, they had access to only preliminary translations of the Cyrillic talking points.

“It could be other people also. There’s a lot of people out there.”

Bolton: “Since January 2017, the President has taken decisive action to defend our election systems from meddling and interference. This includes measures to heighten the security and resilience of election systems and processes, to confront Russian and other foreign malign influence in the United States, to confront such aggression through international action, and to reinforce a strong sanctions regime.”

Bolton must feel a bit of gastrointestinal relief after purging himself of so much shit.

Our country is still under attack by Russia hackers and the president believes Putin when he says it’s all friendly pranks? Half of Trump’s own advisors today said otherwise, because they know that the Russians are also inside our utilities and military computers ready to cause chaos. Cyber war is just that…war.

Donald only believes what he is forced to by his bank creditors in Moscow. Mueller needs to make this clear as Trump still refuses to release his tax returns. Disclosure of Donald’s banking and bankruptcy history with regard to public statements by Trump during the campaign would correct this.

Trump is acting like he is beholden to and obviously being blackmailed by a fascist butcher. Congressional Republicans are OK with this because it suits their personal political objectives. They have capitulated to the enemy. They can no longer be relied upon to protect this nation’s national security.

Vote in November unless you want your grandchildren speaking Russian in the future.

I believe that Bolton’s and Nielsen’s responses boil down to “We have top men working on it. Top. Men.”

brought in the big guns to address election interference, including National Security Adviser John Bolton, Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats, DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen and FBI Director Christopher Wray.

Let see, Bolton is prepared to direct air strikes at any suspicious polling places (he’s already got a list, and oddly they’re all in urban areas), Coats is reviewing his FB friends list, Nielsen has a plan in place to separate ballot boxes from poll workers and totally not lose any of them, and Wray is deploying teams to arrest anyone brown-skinned who casts a provisional ballot.

High snark today.

Yeah and someone in Ukraine tried to sync my computer to theirs.

I had to redo all my security for my email and other important sites.
