I kinda suspect the same thing happened to me. All my sidebar ads are for track suits, vodka and body hair removal cremes.

You know if she said this out loud then Trump would give her 30 days in the hole.

How much do you want to bet that Bolton hasn’t talked to any of the 50 SoS?

Nielsen …

" I’m in this canoe with these others …
which means I’ll end up having to go to the same beach …

but that doesn’t mean that I’m going to help paddle " —

What steps are our administration actually taking, not emotive buzz words but actual steps.

As to the head of DHS, could somebody tell her to pull her head out of her ass and go to work.

If these Trump appointees turn out to be a problem for the Russians trying to tip the midterms, expect them to be summarily dismissed, and actual Russian operatives appointed to their positions without any review by the GOP Senate. No time to vet, doncha know.

Nielsen came up with ā€œthe word of the weekā€ā€¦
auditability
That was a new one for me.

It’s a common term in accounting that’s bled over to my area, which is large-scale biomedical research. It basically just refers to systems that create a paper/electronic trail for every transaction, including changes to transaction documents after the fact. It’s hard to create an ideal one where no changes can be made without leaving a trail, but you work toward that ideal. At some point, though, it depends on people complying with norms and expectations.

I am wondering if the Trump administration is getting ready to discredit a Democrat win in the midterms by invoking electoral interference by Russia.

If they do that what is to stop anyone from claiming the same thing for Trump’s election?

I’m very curious about this assertion, too, since Donnie keeps waffling about whether or not Russia interfered at all. There certainly hasn’t been any buzz abut it. How can state election boards work with the administration if they don’t know what actions were taken?

Official Statement:
ā€œOur guy won. We don’t care if he cheated. Our tax cuts are here and worth it all.ā€
Not on the table:
ā€œOur budget made the deficit so huge that even axing social security wouldn’t pay for any cyber security, so why bother.ā€

Why is the detestable Nielsen still employed?

It was Colonel Mustard… in the Rose garden… with a stuffed ballot box.

Or,

It was Miss Scarlett… in the Lincoln Bedroom… with an NDA.

Or,

It was Mister Green… in the Oval Office… with a sack of green.

The possibilities are endless.

Oh?

You read Bloom County too?

OK, let’s do a thought experiment

Let’s assume they actually don’t want to do a damned thing about election interference and actually want to do everything in their power to encourage it.

Do they sound ā€œout of stepā€ now?

I thought not.
