Discussion: Omarosa Plays Tape Of Kelly 'Threat,' Claims She's Heard Trump's 'N-Word Tape'

Didn’t tape recordings take out a past president, too?

Oh, c’mon, Matt.

You’re saying that just because Omarosa was able to secretly record conversations in the inner sanctum, other people with even less honorable motives might have done the same thing? Or might still be doing the same thing?

Like that’s news or something?

Lordy.

Well this is interesting. The Situation Room is a SCIF, and clandestine recording there is undoubtedly very, very illegal. So they could threaten her with legal action, and from a legitimate administration it might have been appropriate. With them, it’ll look like and arguably be silencing a critic. What you sow, etc.

ETA pretty sure she uses up whatever credibility she might have had left promoting this book. She actually heard the n-word tapes, but after the book was done, so technically she’s not slinging it? Not buying it, that’s bull.

No one is questioning why Kelly took her to the Situation Room to fire her?? Is that standard operating procedure? Doesn’t he have an office that would have sufficed? And yes, I’m not an Omarosa fan… but Trump jumped out to call her a lowlife pretty frickin’ fast. May be more to this than just smoke?

"…White House chief of staff threatening her to depart the White House in a ‘friendly’ manner, or else face ‘difficulty’ with her ‘reputation’…”

Kelly warning others about “difficulty” to their “reputation” from working in the Trump White House?

Future generations of irony miners will celebrate this day as one that made many family fortunes.

What was she doing in the SIT room and how is t that she was able to get a cell phone in that room? If true, this WH has some explaining to do.

What? Someone from the grifter’s staff being a grifter. I don’t believe it.

I know it’s crazy, right?

This is the oddest of the odd things here, to me.

I read elsewhere that the official story of her being fired was due to ethics violations… does that mean that Zinke, Kelly, Kushner, etc should be expecting to be called to the Situation Room soon too??!

Well, it’s like “Alien,” in a SCIF no one can hear you scream, or cuss, or yell “I am not making a scene! You’re making a scene!” and so forth.

There will be a long line of folks writing books attempting to justify their time in the Trump White House. Well, on second thought, maybe not so long if most have signed the strict NDA. Obviously, Spicer did. I wonder if he’s receiving $15,000 per month. If not, he was robbed

“But when he talks that way, the way he did on this tape, it confirmed that he is truly a racist.”

Actually, no. Everybody already knows Trump’s a racist, tape or no tape.

I’m beginning to think this John Kelly fellow may not be competent…

He engenders such respect from his staff that they take a recording device (under penalty of law) into a SCIF to tape his exact words because he’s inherently slippery and untrustworthy.

I thought he may have pulled her in there to do a Representative Wilson number on her or spew the N-word at her, but apparently that didn’t happen. And frankly I’m almost surprised that it didn’t.

NDAs are considered unenforceable for administration people, or at least the Trumpian version where you can’t say bad things about the boss like he eats paper. I think the real danger is there’s a kind of land rush to tell all and the bottom drops out of the market. We know he’s a stupid narcissistic vulgarian traitor. When the proof arrives in a big rush, we’ll just be nodding our heads and turning to the crossword.

You wait until she’s on a rekky, then dust off and nuke the place.
