Real question: Why not carbon monoxide? Everything Iāve read about car/garage suicides and kerosene heater/indoor barbecue deaths suggests that itās quick and painless, you just go to sleep. Seriously wondering why theyād try something thatās never been used before like nitrogen when all they have to do is hook up a car exhaust pipe. Does anyone know?

The surest way to keep getting re-elected in a red state such OK or TX is proclaiming your love of killing prisoners. Iām gratified and pleased that the approval rate has dropped as much as it has among Democrats. Even the good people of Boston and the state overall who lost friends and family are opposed to executing the bomber

There are over 400 deaths per year from CO poisoningāthe most common type of poisoning in the U.S. Seems like a no-brainer. However, at this point I need to say that I am diametrically opposed to capital punishment.

I mostly agree there. At least, in Texas, they donāt condone a Veterinarian who slaughters a neighborās cat (mistaken for feral, as if that makes any difference) and posts it on facebook. Prisoners? āNo problem, pull the handle!ā

Yep, I think it was the Nazis first attempt at mass killing, too.
In the mid-80s, one of my female colleagues learned over the phone that her brother in TX did himself in with a hose connected to his exhaust. Awful.

I am opposed to the death penalty too but I think CO poisoning is not considered because there is no profit to be made.

Capital punishment is a colossal waste of time, money, and legal resources. It is not about justice, itās about blood lust and revenge. Imagine if a family member was killed, you would have to stoke the fires of revenge for an average of about 10 years waiting for the killer to be executed. In contrast, with life in prison w/o the possibility of parole, the killer goes into a dark hole and you can eventually forget about him/her. Not to mention the fact that the death penalty is disproportionately applied to African Americans and other minorities and people later shown to be innocent have been sentenced to death. And capital punishment puts the US into the class of countries like Iran, Saudi Arabia, and China. Do we really want to be in company like that?

An attendee of the infamous 20/1/42 Wannsee Conference, which officially kicked off the Final Solution, bragged how, under his management (vans driven through Belgrade from the holding areas to the burial sites, gassing the crammed victims as it drove), he could declare Serbia as the first Judenrein administrative area within Reich-occupied territory. From lessons learned in Serbia, the Chelmno extermination camp was set up in Poland using CO exhaust gas from mobile vans, instead of stationary gas chambers, to murder many.
However, when the Galtās Gulch coterie controls every aspect of American life, the bottomline features of CO gas will trump sentimental, but unpremissed, reservations.
The death penalty is barbaric in all cases. Butā¦ nitrogen asphyxiation is a popular method among people who chose to kill themselves because you basically just drift off into unconsciousness.
Unlike other forms of asphyxiation, thereās no gasping or gagging because the brain doesnāt really recognize that anything is wrong. The air naturally has about 78% nitrogen in it and the brain canāt really distinguish between 78% and 100% nitrogen. It takes about 30 seconds for the person to just fall asleep and then several minutes to die.
They just CANāT STAND not being able to kill people.
