Discussion for article #231244
I love this so much.
I know the feeling. I am the only one in my family who is a liberal democrat and we can’t even discuss politics.
Me too. I can relate
I was very glad that this Thanksgiving was a year that you two were supposed to go to your in-laws.
Yes, everyone’s sick of the clown show politics has become but I see you didn’t call-in on the Mom line so I’m going to have to let you go…
“your mother” not “you’re mother” (paragraph 5)
When mom grabs you by your ear and heads for the woodpile your life just kinds stops doesn’t it?
Go Mom!!
And always wear clean underwear… You never know when are a going to get hit by a truck. I don’t want some doctor thinking people wear dirty underwear in my house… LOL!
Fucking hilarious haha…it’s like a metaphor bomb just went off in the mirror Amurika is staring into…
Yes. And even we mothers who didn’t use any kind of physical punishment could dole out guilt and shame with the best of them.
Cheap shot expecting TPM to edit content and know all about grammar and spelling and stuff.
ROTFLMAO. Boy does that bring back memories.
I have three brothers who are Republicans. One is very conservative. We are in business together. We just don’t talk about politics.
Is she Jewish?
i ACTUALLY heard that as a kid. I guess all mothers are Jewish mothers and I was born into a RC household.
There is nothing wrong with discussing politics at family gatherings. DISCUSSING. It sounds like these two don’t discuss it, they SHOUT it at the gatherings. If the discussion leads to shouting, you end it and get back to realizing you are with FAMILY and to enjoy your time on earth, not have screaming matches.
I always found that odd since right before the truck hit me I would shit my pants anyway…
With all due respect, it sounds like mom in this situation is likely a prime contributor to the family dysfunction she is complaining about.
Well, one of her kids is a Republican so she must have done something wrong.
