It is hard to call yourself a progressive when you still support domestic espionage, unrestricted assassinations, and appointment of Wall Street insiders to regulate Wall Street.

A willing and complicit media would help. A liberal news juggernaut equal to foxnews will be needed and the creation of a web cast like limbaugh created talk radio aimed at countering everything they say or do. Then maybe in 10-15 years we’ll be finishing up flushing the right wing down their bigoted sewers.

I certainly hope the GOP realizes the utter futility of their rightward binge of the last decade. When I was a kid (a very long time ago) the republicans were far more reasonable. But these days a moderate republican is as common as an Ivory Billed Woodpecker. These days the GOP makes Mussolini look like a liberal.

The GOP held a retreat in 2009 soon after Obama was sworn in. And they invited him. They thought they could make him kowtow. They learned differently. I wish I’d been a fly on the wall at that meeting. Too many times repubs think Obama isn’t what he is…the smartest quickest thinker and the adult in the room. I expect some in the GOP will need it 'splained to them that they got schooled …on NATIONAL TV.
