Discussion for article #247179

You think his rating is high now, just wait three months into a Cruz administration.

“”"“Gallup also pointed out how polarizing Obama remains”"""
Yup. No way the GOP was polarized against him before they ever heard of right? It’s Obama’s fault.

I can’t help but think of the stories I heard of Jackie Robinson, and the things he had to put up with when he joined the Dodgers.

I disagree with our President on a number of policy issues, but I am never less than proud of the man and the job he’s done for our country, in the face of such unrelenting opposition: not just political, but personal.

Historians may not look kindly on the politics and politicians of our day, but they will definitely look favorably on our 44th President.

Good timing, going into the supreme court showdown … which should begin any day now.

The trick is going to be to get in the news about it day-by-day-by-day.

A tremendous asset for Bernie or Hillary

Can’t see that I’ll be alive that far into the future. If I am, I’ll need a warm coat.

how polarizing

Gosh, how did that happen? (Bambi-like blink, blink)
The media and their shiv, er polls…even when it doesn’t nick a vital organ it causes infection.

WHAT!? A black president is at the same approval rating as (Heavenly choir music)

St. Ronnie

(End music)

Was at this same point in his term?

Clearly the facts are lying.

After few months of paying attention to Trump, Cruz, Jeb or Rubio of course they are re-evaluating Obama.

Even McConnell and Ryan are going to miss him.

I miss him already, and even more and more so with each passing day these days.

The man has impeccable timing haha…right when we need him to be ascendant. Thanks Obama!

Yes, a rising or good rating help the incumbent party holding the WH. I do expect that his rating will improve even more as we close on the Nov. elections. Here’s why: people of all walks tend to compare and contrast both the candidates and incumbents even more closely as an election looms. With the Trumpian blasts of late and now even Cruz dipping into sheer lunacy (guns owners, Christians, anti-abortion foes all to be beaten down or jailed by Democrats) the contrasts sharpen.

Rational thought, clear policies and for-the-people programs by the Democrats versus hate mongering, wall building, torture-favoring and anti-woman policies pushed by the Republicans. Guess which party will look they are ready to lead and govern next year?

Yes … And I am sure it is all part of some nefarious plot on his part —

Well, fat lot of good even ten more percentage points of popularity did Bill Clinton during his second term. Public approval isn’t the test anymore: it’s the folks who own this joint and tell the Republican party what to do who decide things. We citizen voters are just here to buy stuff, to act as ballast in the ship of state, and grouse and whinge. We’re not important now, assuming we ever were.

In Ronnie’s defense, at this point in his term he had already left the building.

Not bad for a Muslim atheist Marxist elitist mastermind low-life incompetent man who eats pet dogs and hates American while palling around with terrorists while eating spicy brown mustard with his arugula as he kills babies. If he has it in his heart to give everybody’s guns back he’d probably get a double-digit jump on that 50%.

Very well said … thank you.

The sad thing is, many democrats ran away from him or distanced themselves from him in 2014, on their way to losing efforts.

Sure, they may have lost anyway, but that’s kind of the point. You sold out your best chance at rallying the party for a smaller chance at not losing. Maybe try sticking up for principles next time and changing the conversation, rather than running away from it.
