Trump: My message is identical to that of Hillary:
As always, this articulate man speaks to the heart of the problem. He will be missed. A lot.
I would only add this: If this is the party that so many people see as the “strong” party–the party that keeps America safe–they may want to ask how the GOP can keep America safe when they can’t even stand up to one–one–egomaniacal, misogynistic 5 year old.
Obama is right. The crazy people were accepted into the GOP long ago because the GOP wanted their votes and their money. Now the crazies have taken over the party. Use the drug long enough, you get hooked, stay hooked long enough you end up killing the user. Now, the GOP is dragging the rest of the country into their insanity.
Can I just say how much I am enjoying an Obama “unshackled” by the need to be elected again?

My wife and I saw him in person in Austin earlier this year, and it was worth absolutely worth every penny and every single minute standing in the crowd waiting. B-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l!
I am looking forward to Hillary being President (so VOTE folks!!! It’s not a done deal until Nov 9th!!!), but I will absolutely miss Barack Obama.

Both his and Michelle's speech in NH were spectacular. Michelle's speech should be played in every high school annually.The GOP is the party of family values. The Manson Family.

To them “family values” is code for anti-LGBT, nothing more. It has nothing to do with what sane people think of as family values, things like loyalty, fidelity, and trust. If we define “family values” by what Republicans do, then it includes adultery, serial marriage, and spousal abuse.
Republicans should be called the "Party of Warren Jeffs Family Values."

It’s awesome to see Obama acknowledge this, and hit directly upon why we are where we are. When Trump blows up on November 8, it’ll be the vindication any sane American has had due for a long time. Trump as a Presidential candidate is the manifestation of every right wing conspiracy theory, meme, email forward, drunken mother-in-law psycho-babble about “welfare queens”, D’Souza “documentary”, Breitbart and Drudge headline we’ve all had to endure since Limbaugh took to the airwaves to slowly ruin the Republican party. Trump is the end-product of all of that insane shit we’ve had to listen to and rage about at family gatherings, on social media and town hall debates. It all comes crashing down next month and I’ve got a bottle of cheap champagne ready to go the second it’s called for Hilary on Fox News. I can tell Obama is just as giddy as I am and it’s a reminder of why I voted for him twice.
These are things I’ve been saying for years. I’m glad to see the president finally doing it. There’s no reason why Democrats should have to play by different rules. You don’t get to pretend you are the party of moral values, unfettered capitalism and fiscal conservatism, and then nominate someone like Trump, issue TARP and run up $1.5T deficit and not get held to the standard you’ve claimed for yourself. After begging for 8 years for the president to say these things, I’m so glad he finally is.
I think it comes crashing down Nov. 8 but I feel the crazy will remain. For me, this is one of my biggest complaints about the Obama presidency. I truly feel he had a grand opportunity to destroy the GOP after his election in 2008. By destroy I don’t mean wipe it out of existence, rather to burn it down and force it to clean house. Instead we got the Tea Baggers and the GOP regaining congress in 2010. The crazy was allowed to fester and build stronger, something I feel will happen in 2017.
During these last 8 years we’ve had the GOP cry crazy wild things like socialist takeovers, FEMA camps, all of our guns were going to be taken away, Sharia law imposed, even the most absolute batshit crazy notion that death panels and gulags were part of ACA. None of it ever happened because none if it was ever true, yet very little push back from the Dems to argue it otherwise. And honestly, the GOP has paid next to nothing at the ballot box for it. We can’t allow this to continue. Rule or ruin must end.
