Discussion: NYT: Trump Ordered Top-Secret Clearance For Kushner Despite Others' Concerns

All we need is to couple this with conclusive evidence of Kushner selling US intelligence to foreign governments and that should constitute an impeachable offense for Trump and an espionage charge for Kush. Win-Win!

Clearances granted over the objections of the intelligence community to a guy who was involved in trying to push nuclear power stuff to Saudi Arabia, and who is known to have tried to set up a backdoor communications line to Russia and helped the Saudis with the Khashoggi murder blowback…yeah, this seems like something that should be investigated. I really can’t wait to see Kushner squeal in front of a House investigative panel over the things he’s been doing for the Trump administration.

I have no problem with country-selling Kushner and Ivanka getting the Julius and Ethel Rosenberg treatment.

And Kelly wrote a memo detailing how he’d been “ordered” to grant the clearance, the Times reported.

Some day all this sh*t will come out whether in court or a barrage of tell all books about the Trump White House.

Back to the rest of my meal.

Also: Whatever happened to the Trump-Russia “back-channel” that Kushner attempted to set up at the Russian embassy? How on earth is that story not still news?

I guess Kushner knows how to bring peace to the Middle East.

It’s top secret?

tRump ordered this clearance, but the article doesn’t say if he ever got the clearance. Remember all the shenanigans with him constantly amending what he’d submitted.
When a mere youngster, I worked in the nuclear power division of a well known shipyard. We had to have two clearances back then and I wouldn’t have known how to lie.

Nothingberder. Obama gave out Top Secret Clearances to all his Kenyan relatives, and liberals said nothing.

It was astonishing when we first heard about it and remains so. But honest to god, I think there’s a new kind of normalizing going on, in which we don’t think it’s OK at all but we, by which I mean normal people, are inured to the idea that this administration and the GOP are flagrantly, cartoonishly stupid and evil and have to be rooted out stock and branch. I think that’s why the society calmly handed the GOP a huge loss last November. People are shocked, and appalled, and disgusted, but it’s been more than two years of this and we have lives to live. We can’t jump up and run in circles all day, every day. So people are resisting like they’re recycling, say, as part of daily life. We’re watching a Democratic House get to work because of it. Just my $.02.

Because that’s the juicy shit that Mueller still hasn’t spoken out about…

It’ll come. Patience.

Kelly was not the only one concerned. Read the NYTimes piece. This administration is so cavalier with our national security. It is frightening. Kushner and Ivanka both need to get their privileged butts back to NYC.

Donald F. McGahn II, also wrote an internal memo outlining the concerns that had been raised about Mr. Kushner — including by the C.I.A. — and how Mr. McGahn had recommended that he not be given a top-secret clearance.

Anyone running the clock on how long before Sanders says that “This has nothing to do with the White House”?

Agreed.

And before Trump says, “Jared who?”

“I didn’t know the guy. Think I met him once, he showed up at Ivanka’s wedding. Ivanka. Man, she’s got some great tits. Just like her mom.”
