Discussion: NYC Sludge In AL 'Poop Train' Dumped Out After Public Raises Stink Over Smell

Somebody had way too much fun writing this headline

To the people of Alabama. It is not New Yorkā€™s fault that the citizens in your state chose to adopt lax zoning laws. You people justify voting for the shaite-boggins that allow these situations to arise all in the name of ā€œcreating jobsā€. Well you got your jobs and the shaite that comes with them.

How about this - try electing people that actually look at the big picture and have your well-being in mind. Who am I kidding, you farks were this close to electing a pedophile to office because he spouts the same religious BS you do. Enjoy your ā€œfree marketā€ jobs and shaite filled fields.

Shit, I didnā€™t see that comingā€¦

Us NYers have been dealing with the shit Alabamans have been sending to congress all these years that keep our country in the dark ages. Turnabout is fair play, enjoy the aroma, I made it myself.

Well, Alabama, you keep sending toxic waste to the US Congress, where it not only stinks up the place something fierce, but much, much worse, helps pass toxic laws the rest of us have to live under. Itā€™s great that you narrowly avoided sending us Roy Moore, and credit where credit is due, but thereā€™s the rest of your Congressional delegation that you really need to dispose of in your own backyard, and not inflict on the rest of us.

Since Alabama is the state that gave us Mitch McConnell; Jeff Sessions; Roy Moore; Etc. I think it only fair we give them big piles of shit in return; in keeping with the mathematical principle in the Properties of Equality; or a Biblical ā€˜eye for an eyeā€™.

This story reminds me of the New York garbage barge saga. Anyone else remember this?

For you who are choosing to berate the complainers in Alabama please read the article again. To wit:
ā€œEnvironmental advocates say thereā€™s nothing just about a city dumping waste in poor communities that lack the political clout to stop it. In Alabama, residents of tiny Parrish say they felt blindsided by the sudden horrid smells that enveloped their town in late January.ā€
Things like this are happening in poor communities around the world. Years ago the chemical plants in south Charleston. Presently the hog farms spraying pig waste into the wind toward poor communities in North Carolina.
Think before reacting. Thank you

McConnell is from Kentucky

Pshh yes poor communities are the ones most impacted because they have the least power, but itā€™s state laws that allowed companies to do this, and on the federal level its repugs that are in favor of this type of thing.

Walker County, in which Parrish sits, gave 72% of its vote to Roy Moore and 82% to Donald Trump in 2016. Seems only appropriate that we New Yorkers give them some of what they gave us.

McConnell is from Alabama.

McCONNELL, Addison Mitchell (Mitch), a Senator from Kentucky; born in Tuscumbia, Colbert County, Ala., February 20, 1942

ā€¦and while weā€™re updating your information on Kentucky politicians- Rand Paul is from Pennsylvania and Matt Bevin is from New Hampshire.

Yes, we know. But this happens because people in those states are more concerned with electing legislators who keep the darkies and the queers in their place, and know that the Earth was made by God for humans to exploit as much as possible.

geeeeze ā€¦

I, at least, went ahead and read through your profile before responding to your post ā€“

If it helps ā€¦ Iā€™ll go ahead and leave you off the invite list
for the upcoming tpm sarcasm partyā€¦

Donā€™t want any overly sensitives getting bent and crying in the corners by themselves ā€¦
On second thought ā€¦ I really donā€™t give a fuck how you feel ā€¦
Itā€™s too early for me to try and please the concern trolls ā€”

Lax regulations, low cost, poor zoning. Sounds like the Southern Republicans voted for all this shit so as not to be bothered by the ā€œgovernment overreachā€ and ā€œnanny stateā€ that usually prevents this sort of thing in those heathen, Librul areas.

Looking through the plan that NYC has that was briefly mentioned, the plan looks pretty good. Its long (350 pages, one section devoted to sustainability) and has lots of details. Really looks like NYC is trying to set a example for USA for how to improve big cities.

Republicans. Say it with me: re-PUB-li-cuns. Donā€™t vote for the party of fucking everything up if you donā€™t want everything fucked up. Their state ā€œleadersā€ did this to them. Will they hold them accountable? (Hint: nope.)

Democrats certainly arenā€™t perfect, but FFS youā€™d think someone would notice the correlation between the national shitshow and whoā€™s been running things at the federal and state levels.
