Discussion for article #238600
Oh goody. We will get to see Donnie spend the entire day dissing the Daily News. It’s as easy as attracting a fly to shit.
I think we’re about to reach critical mass where The Donald calls the entire world stupid and blames everyone for taking him out of context.
Why is anyone in the Pundit Class surprised? Look, I get it, Trump attacked McCain…thing is, ever since the Republicans started attacking anyone and everyone who stood against them, nothing’s been sacred. It wouldn’t have mattered if John Kerry was the guy who single-handedly saved a platoon of American service members, the moment the GOP went after him, they made it clear that service to this country was worthless even if you were a war hero. Since then, the GOP has gone after veterans all over the place, but only if they disagreed with their agenda. That creates a situation in this country where no one cares if McCain is a war hero. The GOP has made it so that his service to this country and what he did as a POW mean less than nothing.
So, GOP, in a nothing’s sacred anymore world that you created- how are you going to survive?
What is it about well to do GOP children? Why do they routinely besmirch those who served, when they know, CLEARLY KNOW, that they did everything in their power to avoid serving in combat? First, that idiot Dubya, and now this a$$hole…is a lack of shame genetically predisposed? (I know it isn’t…this is a rhetorical question)
My take is that this piling on by media and inside the beltway politicians will only embolden his supporters and attract more. The media is the reason that he sucks all the oxygen out of the room. Trump is the answer to the mainstreaming of the tea party.
I rate this 4 bags of buttered popcorn
Best The Donald response - not knowing which of his feet had the bone spur.
Vietnam was a loosing war for losers. Winners got deferments and went on to become billionaires, CEOs, Vice Presidents, Secretary of Defensers, Presidents, and hawks (winning birds of prey).
The Republican Party is Dorian Gray and Donald Trump is the picture.
Yeah, but none of them dissed those who fought it in public, though they may have in private.
The Liberal Media hates Trump because he speaks the truth.
Apparently so does the conservative media.
Whoa, for a second there, I had to remind myself that you weren’t talking about the Frankenstein monster McCain created when he desperately chose Sarah Palin as his running mate. The GOP embraced Bible Spice, unwed pregnant daughter and all. Republicans are desperate to overcome the tide of voter demographics that heavily favors Democrats. Donald Trump is just the latest incarnation of the Republican Southern Strategy, à la a gold-plated douche-bag. He’s a morbid fascination of R-voters, who are mesmerized and drawn away from their better judgement, in the same way that millions of rubes voted for a rich elitist with no understanding of, or empathy for common people in the form of Mittens Romney. Let’s all hope that GOPers fail to recover their senses and follow this lemming over the cliff.
You can’t handle the truth!
Spurred to Inaction…do I have to write the headlines too???
All of them!
There you go trying to apply reason again.
In the GOP group mindset, any attack on Dems or their families is fair game…true or not. Being Democrat is such a horrendous evil, that there is literally nothing to mitigate it, so every attack is completely justified.
Kerry, and any other Democrat, being decorated only emphasized that thinking…How dare they try and attain something that is obviously only meant for good, god-fearing republicans?? To accept that Dems have and do serve this country faithfully and heroically, is to pull out one of the underlying support beams for their Jango tower of beliefs…it simply cannot be done.
Now, within that realm, republicans ARE still heroes, if they served in the military. And the major deferment you seen giving to people in the service is based on the assumption that they are ALL republicans. (except the gay ones, which…see above…they shouldn’t be there).
And like most things in the GOP group mind…reality and reason hold no power. Because they attack the very foundations of that entire belief system.
Have you no sense of decency, sir? At long last, have you left no sense of decency?
Nowadays, that is considered a punch line.
He is the Southern strategy being used against the GOP establishment…so the Frankenstein monster theme is perfectly fitting.
Not that the national GOP strategy this year wasn’t yet another iteration of the Southern Strategy, it is/was. But they didn’t forsee the likes of Trump using it…largely because they thought they had the TP and people like Trump vanquished after 2014.
And its been fun watching the thread on that myth slowly coming undone.
