Discussion: Nurse Quarantined In NJ Ebola Scare To Be Released Today

Looks like Christie ran into someone who he could not bully.

Great, now that they no longer need that tent, Christie can have his pants back.

If Christie changed his mind, I hope he got a better model this time. He should hold out for one of the new self-starting ones with automatic fine tuning.

I think Christie changed his mind for 2 reasons. Firstly this in no way made him look like Presidential material and secondly this nurse wasnā€™t gonna be bullied and had the guts to say so on national TV and it therefore compounded Christie 's ā€œlack of 2nd thoughtsā€

I think he just needed his macho moment on sunday morning tv. then he caved.
He is, as Jimmy Breslin once said of Rudy Guliani, ā€œa small man in search of a balcony.ā€

Christie went on to say that even if she teats positive he will not have her involuntarily quarantined
ā€¦ he will simply have her put down instead ā€¦ canā€™t be too careful -
ā€¦ when you are pandering to the right-wing fringe

Ms. Hickox was planning to take legal action to challenge her confinement and spoke out forcefully about how she had been treated.

Funny how a little lady can make a big bully fold

In Spain in the case of a nurse who did test positive for Ebola the government put her dog down unnecessarily

There was no new information, other than Christie released he will take a fall for imprisoning a completely healthy human being. Christie stated that she was ā€œobviously illā€ and even today in announcing her release, he said she had a ā€œfeverā€. There was no fever. She tested 98F at the airport, and has had no fever since. She was always asymptomatic, and did not test positive for Ebola.

Iā€™m not so sure this woman has balls, but with the 100 lbs. heā€™s lost, he also lost his souls, his smarts and any political future.

  • lost his soul & integrity a long, long , long time ago

Yes I suspect you are correct. He just ended up looking like the ignorant bully that he is

Itā€™s a little misleading in this article to say she was being quarantined ā€œat a Newark hospital,ā€ because it makes it sound like she was inside the hospital. She was not; she was being held in an unheated tent with a port-a-potty and no shower (and not even a television set for amusement) on on the hospital grounds, and being brought take-out meals by workers in hazmat suits. Iā€™m sure she had better accommodations in Sierra Leone. I hope they had given her plenty of blankets, because the temperatures here in Virginia went down into the 40s last night.

Thank heavens! Iā€™m glad people are recovering. Itā€™s because some people are prepared, and others are not. If your immune system is working the way it is supposed to, then Ebola, HIV, Bird/Swine and the standard winter Flu will not have much of an effect on you. I make it a point to keep my immune system boosted by taking natural supplements, drinking alkaline water (disease canā€™t live in an elevated pH body very long.) I regularly take colloidal silver (a natural anti-bacterial and anti-viral agent) and natural zeolite.

What I donā€™t take or do is vaccines. Iā€™ve had my share over 30 years ago in the Marine Corps and got sick all the time, mostly right after the vaccination! I havenā€™t seen the inside of a hospital (as a patient) for over 35 years. I worked as a medic too and was exposed to lots of ill people, but rarely got more than a sniffle that lasted a couple days.Ā  I do workout and eat organic (non bug sprayed foods) as much as possible.

Absolutely, the Bridgegahzi scandal is huge and most potential voters at least would know something about it.
Chris Christie closed bridges and wreaked havoc on his own constituents for political payback is enough of a bad message all by itself and it is just the tip of the iceberg.

If they donā€™t remember, why would they vote for him in the first place?

And so, if they donā€™t forget they will know who caused it, Chris Christie in this case.
It damages him as well as what you are saying and I think that this isnā€™t just a little thing. He effed up big, again, with this one.
Christie can not deal realistically with national issues because he is to busy hiding from his major state issues and that is the takeaway, he is incompetent and playing games. That doesnā€™t sell nationally. He is damaged.
