Not a good start. Doesn’t know his place.
I give him 6 months, tops. When it sinks in that he really does work for Steve Bannon.
It will be interesting to see the turnover of this admin at the 12 month mark.
I wouldn’t be surprised to see the retired generals (McMaster, Mattis, Kelley, who am I missing?) ban together and threaten resignation enmass at some point to avert a crises.
Wow. Too intellectual, too Obama-like. And waaaaaay over Donnie’s head. Besides, his beloved deplorables won’t like it.
‘Radical Islamic Terrorism’
How does using these magic words actually make a difference?”
It separates the extremist mooslims …(bad) …
from the extremist evangelical christians … (good) —
Do words like this matter? Of course they do. When I read this I remembered when World Heavyweight Boxing Champion Muhammad Ali responded to the remark that he was going to be drafted and sent to fight in Viet Nam. He said, “I ain’t got no quarrel with them Viet Cong”. I am convinced the statement from this great man was one of the remarks that started the country thinking a different way about the war in southeast Asia. It alone didn’t make the difference, but it helped re-shape the narrative.
When he realizes that saying the words creates a force field that defeats terrorism, he’ll change his mind. No label, no victory.
Surely he doesn’t expect Trump to do that cold turkey.
This makes no sense. Why would ISIS Recruiter-In-Chief Donald Trump want to drop his best recruitment line?
+10.
I’m sure the Baptists would see the error of their ways if we could just start referring to the Westboro Baptist Church as a bunch of Radical Baptist Terrorists.
I love how it’s a debate who knows more about how to fight terrorists, the Breitbart troika of dipshits who’ve never fired a shot, or the hero general of the surge.
What???
You want trumpity to give up the biglyest part of his brain cluster of lobes.
Not gonna happen.
He wouldn’t have much left except, duh duh duh believe me
Or Radical Bible Thumping Christian Terrorism.
“How many elections did McMaster win ?”
I can only hope you’re right. Bannon’s dream is America’s nightmare.
Keith Kellogg
While I salute his effort, as others have indicated in these comments, if I had to bet on if he’ll convince donnie of this before he’s fired, I’d know where I’d lay my money.
Hahahaha…that’s like telling the Klan to stop dropping n-bombs. AIN’T GONNA HAPPEN.
see “radical Islamic terrorism” as an essential tool in the fight against ISIL.
Well, duh, they wouldn’t want that fight to spill over into a fight against other kinds of terrorism - like right wing terrorism against muslims. After all, we all know that terrorism is A-OK as long as it targets brown people and non-Christians.
I think they should call it radical fundamentalist terrorism. That way they can cover Christian and Islamic religious terrorists under the same rubric, and avoid insulting non-fundamentalist Muslims.
Of course, that’ll never fly because, for the GOP, insulting Islam is the whole point.
Maybe we could call it radical conservative terrorism.
