That’s a most unusual face tan $2 Haircut’s sporting…like he had a rock sitting on his face as he sunbathed. The South’s trying to rise again…a little Cialis please.
North Carolina Gov. Pat McCrory ® said Monday he hopes other states and private sector companies join his state’s lawsuit against the Justice Department over the federal government’s challenge to the state’s sweeping anti-LGBT law.
Seems legit. I know MY Governor has this poster on his office wall.

Well, bless his heart. Pat is calling for what I hoped would happen, just like the fight against marriage equality. Yes, dumbasses, join in with NC so that the courts can slap the living shit out of you all at the same time. Let’s get this over with. I want to see McCrory finally reduced to a crying, sniveling little bitch before this is all settled. Oh, wait. I’m sorry. He already is.
Misery (as well as hate) loves company.
One correction: The law doesn’t require people to go to the bathroom labeled for their biological sex (indeed, given various syndromes and “anomalies” that may not always be a definable thing) or even their chromosome counts (ditto). It requires them to go with whatever was marked on their birth certificate.
IOW: even stupider than it might be.
Pretty sure our legislature voted themselves this authority after the Amendment One debacle 4 years ago.
For all those states thinking of joining in the lawsuit, consider that it is already assigned to the judge that made the pro-trans ruling in VA.
One of them, the one that signed the pleadings, is Millberg Gordon Stewart in Raleigh. It’s a small litigation boutique–three partners and three associates–that specializes in corporate tort defense. They’ve been listed in all the right “hoo boy are t’ese some good lawyahs!” listings, but I know nothing about them.
ALEC and FRC will take away their prewritten bills and he might actually have to do some of his own thinking?
I’m honestly not sure if they tried to sneak this in with the desired minimum wage and hiring laws…or if this was the piece of cheese the rest was wrapped in for the hounds.
Has ALEC or FRC kidnapped one of his relatives? His favorite escort? Something not too dissimilar, I figure…at least not metaphorically dissimilar.
The first is for the people that matter (ie. Moneyed Interests) and the rest is to keep the Jeebus-loving base happily lapping up the crumbs, so long as there’s some minority group to hate.
R.I.P. governor!
“I’m committing political suicide so please join me other Red State governors”.
I can’t see any other states really joining in nor any major businesses. A mom and pop bakery yes but IBM, Apple, car makers, etc.? No way.
…and for this all the lawyers in all the FauXian states thank Gov. mcCromagnon.
Yeah, in fact, why don’t you all get together and try to secede over it, because you know, another 700K+ dead 'Murkins is a fair price to pay for you to prove to Jesus that you don’t like Teh Gays.
“Clarify” is what he should have asked for before he threatened this ridiculous lawsuit against the DoJ. Now it just looks like a stalling tactic. And what idiot state would want to jump on board the SS McCrory sinking ship? Not very bright, this one…but I’m sure there will be takers because…using taxpayer money is never much of a concern when wanting to defend the indefensible. Besides, showing who can be a bigger bigot is what “conservative values” really means these days.

This law—like most of the “religious freedom to discriminate” laws—came from Mat Staver and Liberty Counsel.
Yes, please join the lawsuit so the courts can strike down ALL these laws at once. It will save time.
