Did he buy Boner’s old tanning bed? And, more importantly, has Mississippi joined the lawsuit yet? You know they will.

He seems really afraid of what will happen if he doesn’t fight as hard as he can for this law he doesn’t understand and so desperately needed to pass…wonder why?

Who, exactly, is filing this lawsuit for him? Sure as hell not the Attorney General. Roy Cooper (who’s running against McCrory) has already indicated he thinks the law is unconstitutional and his office won’t be defending it.

So the state’s taxpayers will be paying some big Raleigh firm at the “I’m the governor’s golf buddy” hourly rate to defend this law that’s already costing it money and reputation.

Meet the new George Wallace. Same as the old George Wallace.
The only difference is that last time the media made Wallace to look like the ignorant fool he was whereas this time the media will (disgustingly) play the false equivalency card since they certainly won’t flat out support anything “Obama’s DOJ” does.

McCrory and Frank Perry, NC SOS are the plaintiffs.

TPM:

“That is why this morning, I have asked a federal court to clarify what the law actually is,” McCrory said. “I anticipate our own legislature, other private sector entities from throughout the United States and possibly other states to join us in seeking this clarification because this is not just a North Carolina issue, this is a national issue.”

“And if we lose,” McCrory announced, “We will secede.”

Thanks. I was talking about the law firm. But the answer is in the pleading you linked me to. He’s got his general counsel and the predicted expensive private firm in Raleigh doing it. I’m guessing his GC’s main contribution is signing the pleading and reviewing the bills before approving them.

Hey other states. Those RFRA’s didn’t work out so the ADF and Liberty Council wrote this law to eliminate all protections for LGBT’s in metro areas. This might work!

If at first you don’t secede…
