In MS and LA, pro-choice politicians are completely unelectable at every level.

I donā€™t think any of these statutes will stand for long and I suspect that the politicians who pass them are committing professional suicide. Once the women of America roar none of them or their friends will survive.

What you miss is the relative political heat of the two sides. Women in MS and LA, like women everywhere, have long believed Roe is the law of the land. That left them content. Once it becomes clear Roe is threatened the issues heat will move from the anti-abortion side to the pro-choice side. Look at the polling. If you get 70% of the population riled up you arenā€™t going anywhere no matter how committed the other 30% might be. These latest laws are going to rile up a whole lot of people who have thought the issue was settled.

Maybe blue states should ram through bills outlawing guns.

The best legislature Art Popeā€™s money can buy. Iā€™m sure the Koch brothers have made a few contributions, as well. At least we know what these people are.

Because an all-powerful god needs you to ask the government to do what the god would do if it could?

Anti-Abortion Laws Murder Women!

We need to shout this from the rooftops every chance we get.

If it ā€œalmost never happensā€ why not just support the legislation then and take it away as a wedge issue?

Make them pay for gestation, too. And pre-natal care.
Every week after a heartbeat can be detected.
And itā€™s got to be equal to or greater than median income.
With interest accrued weekly, and property liens if payment is more than a week in arrears.

TROLLOLOLOL.

I have an idea.
As I recall, eminent domain requires paying market rate for property that is seized.
Stormy got what, 130 grand?

I think there may be some marvellous hay that can be made with this shite.
