Discussion: Newt Gingrich Calls For 'Independent' Investigator In Trump-Russia Probe

Michael Mukasey is an independent person? Not in this lifetime.

Trump has found just the person for this independent investigator job–Ivan Ibiolovtskivitchkov, a vice-president of Deutsche Bank and friend of Felix Sater.

No, we are looking for a real person.

Newt should have named his draft dodging buddy Rush Limpdick as the investigator.

Bring in Malcolm Nance.

Trump’s tiny penis was never in doubt, thanks to his baby photos, which also revealed his early moneygrubbing ways.

Why would anyone care about anything that Gingrich says? Further, why would TPM post the story? Are we in the ā€œanyone that criticizes Trump in any way makes the pagesā€ mode?

Thankfully, Ann Coulter hasn’t appeared on TPM in awhile now. I suppose she’s been replaced by Conway as the crazy female Republican who’s last name starts with ā€œCā€.

If there’s no substance to what they say, why give them publicity???

Newt’s back giving advice to Trump?

The wolf in wolf’s clothing.

Just more evidence of the total moral collapse of the Party of the Moral Majority. Even THEY can no longer deny their own history of unhinged anti-Obama hostility, it has been too exposed for the public to ever forget.

Deny it all they want, they are only fooling themselves. Trump has destroyed any semblance of patriotism and morality they once imagined people saw in them from afar.

Republicans hated so much the last 8 years, they can’t convince the Millennials of their moral superiority. Those young voters believe their own eyes and ears, not the common lies FOX brainwashed so many Republican pseudo-patriots with.

Republicans no longer hold any high ground, morally OR patriotically. THAT old lie has been squashed out of existence now, both in terms of patriotism AND moral high ground because they elected someone like Trump…

When Republicans picked Trump, with all his overt moral failure on full display, they conceded any pretension of moral ownership, they may fool the evangelical deniers in their midst, but most of them are actually somehow proud of it.

And they certainly don’t own the Patriot’s mantle they claimed so falsely for so long.

Patriots and Putin don’t fit on the same page, anywhere but the alt-right universe.

Agreed - the thing I’ve always most admired about the man was his uncanny ability to fracture the Republican party - but we need the truth to get out about Comrade Chaos. To that end, we need to take our allies where we find them,

Hey, I know a really good lawyer who has some time on his hands. Well-versed in US politics. Constitutional background.

Goes by the name Obama. Barack Obama.

I don’t happen to have his number on hand, but you can probably Google him.

The former speaker of the House is implicitly calling out the present occupant of the White House, and the enablers in his own party - yet somehow you don’t think that’s a newsworthy?

Huh.

Surely you jest, no? Sorry if I missed it - Komrade Khaos has my snarkometer all kablooey these days.

Not sure about that. Neutron has a tendency to dig in when challenged. And he’s no longer worried about getting re-elected.

Gingrich has no credibility as far as I’m concerned. So his ā€œdissentā€ is more likely calculated for him to get some press, not provide any impetus for action. Just my opinion, of course.

ā€œslitheredā€ would work quite nicely there…

If The Man from Glad and the Michillen Woman had a love-child, wouldn’t it look just like Newt?

We need allies, if the truth is going to come out and not get buried - I’m not so concerned about motives at the moment. And Newt has a way of getting media attention - including on frequencies we sometimes struggle to break free on.
