Discussion for article #223227
Love the smell of burnt turtle in the morning.
What in God’s name was McConnell thinking? He can’t have it both ways and even Kentucky republicans have enough brain cells to know that.
Excellent editorial. Three cheers.
you are setting the bar a bit high for those Kentucky republicans
So 2 + 2 does not equal 7?
“Kentuckians are waiting to learn if their five-term senator understands —or cares— how much is at stake,” the editorial concluded."
The answer to both questions is no.
‘Liberal’ media rant incoming in 3…2…1
Obviously, the editors at that rag are college-educated scalawags who don’t represent “true Kentucky”.
Yertle the Turtle has already issued a statement pointing out that the Extremist Radical Alinskyite Lexington Herald-Leader has no idea what they’re talking about and are clearly controlled by the Marxist in the Whites House.
Wow! The editorial board of the Lexington Herald-Leader takes me back to the days when journalist actually did the job professional journalist are supposed to do.
McConnell is disconnected from reality because all he does is do what his corporate masters tell him to do. He isn’t thinking for himself at this point.
I’ve been dragging out schadenfraude more and more often lately, and today’s one of those days.
McConnell has just assumed voters are ignorant and will vote on an emotional level only. Sad to say, he may be right.
“Kynect is the Affordable Care Act is Obamacare — even if Kentuckians are confused about which is which,” the editorial continued.
And this is REALLY when the election ends. No way the Turtle can survive this.
The 5-term Senator understands, he’s just putting his money on old, reliable ‘stupid’.
"the talking points it received from the McConnell campaign in response to questions about McConnell on Kynect and Obamacare are “unconnected to reality.”
OK, there’s the universal fragment about Republican dependency on mythological memes, not too deeply hidden in the article, that can be translated for use against ANY 21st Century Republican…
"the talking points it received from the Blahblah campaign in response to questions about blahblah are “unconnected to reality.”
Just fill in the blahblahs.
Of course, for those mythical memes to be perpetuated among their disciples without any questions, they all depend on an uninformed, or worse yet, misinformed, electorate that is plagued with prejudice and misguided passion.
…especially when he so casually contributes to that confusion.
What a moron.
From that link the editor(s) wrote:
“As a result of a law that McConnell wants to repeal, one in 10 of his constituents no longer have to worry that an illness or injury will drive them into personal bankruptcy or a premature grave.”
Ha! My favorite quote on Obamacare:
“Democrats protected the unemployed starting with the New Deal, then the old, then the poor. Now, thanks to Obamacare, millions of working families will go to bed at night knowing that they are not an illness away from financial ruin.” - NY Times conservative columnist David Effing Brooks, March 22, 2010
There’s a two word answer to the question, “What’s wrong with Washington?”
Mitch McConnell.
