Cruz is the most disliked senator in the US Senate by his peers- he is hated even by Republicans. He comes into the US from Canada and tells us all how bad America is…go back to Canada.
If Cruz was born to his mother and father in IRAN, no one would allow him to run for President…Canada is NOT a US state or a US territory.
Ted Cruz is not a Natural Born US Citizen…he is a natural born Canadian!

It’s unfortunate Conservatives feel they have to slur Americans who live in major US cities. As if somehow you have to live on a farm in rural Iowa to be a true American patriot. Just another example of their divide and conquer mentality.
And, of course, Cruz was educated on the outskirts of NYC and Philadelphia and lives in Houston, a pretty progressive city for Texas.

I thought only Austin was “progressive” in TX? Maybe they do have that one other city to achieve that rank. You’d have to convince me. I’ll avoid TX like the plague, for the rest of my life.

No, it just aligns them with everyone else in the country who hates Cruz. Considering their cover from a couple of weeks ago showing Trump with his hand raised in what looked like a “Sieg Heil” salute, over the caption “The New Furor” (pun obviously intended), I’d say they hate Trump just as much.

Trump does not embody NY values by any stretch of the imagination, so defending “NY values” is not aligning yourself with Trump.

I don’t see the Daily News supporting tRump or Cruz. Seems like the paper hates them both. BTW, Cruz deserves it. He complains about Obama being a divider and he tossed out that NY Values line way too easy. It’s also funny when he talks about the elites- that pig attended Ivy League schools, in law school he only wanted to study with other students from certain schools, and his wife works for a Wall Street firm. How not elite is Cruz?

Cruz’s “New York Values” seems like a gay-bashing dog whistle to me. It is beyond tiresome how Republicans and the media of course talk about people who live in cities as less than American, or not “real Americans”.
My other huge beef is The Farm Bill, and because Iowa is always courted like a coveted prom date, we never get to discuss that Socialist boondoggle, and how these bootstrap real rural Americans would go down the crapper without Uncle Sam’s generous yearly cash infusion of biillions!

This is the single greatest thing I have ever seen, and if the cover offends you, there’s a 99% chance you’re one of the people who agrees with Cruz’s dis, in which case it’s supposed to.

With the exception of Fort Worth (I think), Texas’ biggest cities all vote Democratic pretty reliably.
We just got rid of Harper, Rob Ford is an afterthought now, we have a good man leading the country (and unlike the good man leading your country, Trudeau basically has total power with a majority government). We’re finally starting to feel like Canada again… please, for the love of all that’s Canadian, please stop associating us with this man. We have plenty of assholes already.
