Discussion: New York Daily News To Cruz: 'You Don't Like NY Values? Go Back To Canada!'

Not to mention his father was a refugee from Cuba who benefited not only from the US policy of welcoming refugees, but I think he also emigrated after Cuban refugees were given special consideration because of communism (if Cruz Sr. had to enter the US under the conditions that Cruz is demanding for Muslims, he never would have made it since he was a Castro supporter - Communism was the Islam of the Cold War period).

What a minute, how is he going to get all those Goldman Sacks campaign contributions with that stance?

Goldman Sachs already owns him - I don’t think he has paid back the half mil he borrowed for his Senate run yet - he is literally indebted to Goldman Sachs (Wall Street).

Speaking of beef (or pork), you reminded me of an unsuccessful VP candidate who couldn’t put lipstick on a pig, and constantly reminded us of who the ā€œReal Americansā€ were.

Here we go again.

The entire front page of the NY Daily News is pretty awesome, and very New Yorker.

Trump literally gets into bed with Goldman Sachs every night. His wife is a managing partner.
And they financed his Senate campaign.

BluGrass – I think you mean Cruz.

NY Republicans often see themselves as apart from the rest of NY. They think they’re better than the rest of NYers simply because they’re more ā€œrealisticā€ about the world (read: more selfish and greedy).

LOVING the new jingoistic lefty red-top Daily News. Such an improvement over Mort Zuckerman’s Leibermanesque war derpy, hedgie-hugging ā€œcentristā€ version…

Thanks, Deckbose! I do mean Cruz! I think I was laughing too hard at the whole debacle.

Perfect!

Don’t like it? Go back to your homeland!

Between this and their ongoing war against the NRA, the Daily News is on fire these days.

It’s OK for Trump to toss a hissy fit when Cruz bad mouths NYC but I guess it’s kosher for Trump to be able to bad mouth Women (multiple times so far), Mexicans, and specifically voters in Iowa whom he called ā€œstupidā€. Were I from Iowa I would take that as a personal insult and would expect a personal apology. But I’m not and the media seem to think Trump’s prevarications are fine and dandy.

Thanks for this, nineo. Unfortunately, many Americans don’t know much about Canada, and will come to see this vile specimen as representing what Canada is about. In fact, most Canadians, based on voting patterns and general disposition, would not want to be 1000 kilometers anywhere near this person. Perhaps he could have some traction with Alberta, which could be seen as Texas light, but anywhere else, he would be avoided like, err, Ted Cruz.
