Susan Collins is Concerned and Troubled…
She should be terrified. Go get her Sara!
Thoughts and prayers?
“getting things done for Mainers are what we’re elected to do…"
Let’s hope this election are not a grammar contest.
Not sure it is big enough to matter, but Portland, Maine has become a new “it” town for people leaving Boston (to telework or what not) or other East Coast HCOL areas to move to. Lots of young folks moving there to drink microbrews and eat mollusks. The folks I know who have moved there would not vote for Susan Collins.
Portland and Brunswick and other mid-coast cities may not vote for Collins, but the rest of the state is much redder than even Susan.
Portland has been hip a long time! Though if it’s attracting yet more Democratic voters from overly blue Mass., that’s certainly a good thing.
It worked for the other Portland…
She should be, too much party discipline, she kept believing promises from leadership that were never intended to be fulfilled.
Collins should get a head start on finding that plum postpolitical bartender gig.
This could work.
Would cheer Collin’s departure heartily. Go Sarah Gideon
Collins’ “sell by” date passed some time ago. This sounds promising.
Susy has hoisted her campaign battle flag…
Indeed it has.
Lots of people forget (or don’t know) that Maine is a mostly rural, mostly poor state at the upper end of the Appalachian mountain range.
It has a habit of voting like other poor, rural states—to its detriment.
It was HOW she came out for Kav last fall.
After the suspense, she twisted the knife.
That was worth hundreds of thousands or dollars of anti-Collins funding.
Gideon is going to win that race. She’s going to win the support of all the ticket splitters who voted Dem for POTUS but kept voting Collins in for Senate.
and so it begins.,
If Gideon gets within 5 points of what Jared Golden did in ME-02, she’d win the state pretty easily b/c she should win ME-01 by a solid margin. Btw, Trump is very unpopular there and impeachment is net positive.
