Such an embrace of violent individuals and rhetoric have actually prompted a decline in the League of the Southâs overall membership, according to the SPLC. The group was founded by academics who wanted to glorify the South, but has become increasingly radical over the years, adapting virulently anti-Semitic rhetoric, urging the accumulation of arms and calling for the former Confederate states to secede specifically to form a white ethnostate.
The LotS is head quartered in Alabama which makes sense since I now have âI Wish I Were In Dixieâ running through my head. I wonder if anyone named Sessions, Strange, Brooks and especially Moore were founders?
The GOP just refuses to see them for what they are - literal terrorists. Theyâre afraid to call them that because theyâre reliable ÂŽ voters, and just the more vocal and active wing of their party. For every outed neo-Nazi marching in the street calling for the death of Jews, thereâs a few dozen clean cut middle-aged suburbanites nodding along silently in agreement. Currently the biggest indicator of this is watching right-wing media do just about everything they can do to shift the narrative to how awful Antifa is while only slightly acknowledging the rise of right wing extremism just for cover.

Then they go somewhere to do it all the while recording on social media. But the police are busy. Busy racial profiling African-Americans hoping they smell of marijuana so the police can seize their cash and their car to buy some new military gear for the department. The prosecutors and judges are busy locking up African-Americans in private prisons for which the judges and prosecutors receive some Christmas money. Thankfully there are people like Shaun King and other journalists who are working for justice because we know the DOJ doesnât give even a tiny F.
