The Republican Party - good for business, good for wise spending of state money.

Ah, heck. Good for nothing.

Edit: I read the Baylor piece. Somewhere in there I missed that Tevin Elliott, the 6’9" 275 lb Shawn Oakman, Sam Ukwuachu, (6’4", 232 lbs.) were visiting the women’s restrooms when they suddenly overcame their adopted gender and raped their victims.

The Republican party has a point - this IS about safety for women. And they are on the wrong side of it. Transgender women forced to use the men’s room have been assaulted, although I don’t know of any transgender women assaulting women. And now, since bearded men are required to use the ladies’ room, how will women (and girls) know who they are confronting when they exit the stall? This is particularly poignant for girls that have faced sexual assault in the past (from heterosexuals!). We’ve been sharing restrooms with transgender people forever, and this law is just another expression of the fear and hate that runs today’s Republican party. Just as “voter fraud” laws are actually “voter suppression” laws, this “anti-LGBT” law is actually anti-woman, as well.

McRory: This is another example of Obama doing his best to hurt NC economy so that Democrats can win NC. He is also forcing us to use bathrooms with weirdos.

America cured itself of its Prohibition fetish after about 15 years. NC unfortunately will take about that much time to figure out being buggered by that Yank Pat is sodding awful :’(

And?

I love this conservative retort for so many reasons. The cute naĂŻvetĂ© that it isn’t happening now is one. Even more, however, is the conservative belief (bless their hearts) that government could make cheerleaders and football players share hotel rooms if it wanted to.

Conservatives really believe government creates its own power, and we, the people, are just lemmings to be manipulated.

Question:
How come this wasn’t a problem 1 year ago?

Yeah, but this is Baylor so they’re all good Southern Baptists. Come on, it’s not like they were dancing or something.

“Here’s the NC GOP’s response to the NCAA. I made sure it was not a parody account.”

More proof that the Onion has some stiff competition when it comes to parodying these a-holes. Too funny. Sad.

The governor will be out with another"much ado about nothing" statement shortly

The Republican party chose it’s religious nut base over its business interests.

You can’t tell me that all those “liberal” scientists and engineers living in the tech triangle aren’t really secret Christian bigots. They sure aren’t protesting much.

This hits them where it hurts. NC loves its stupid basketball more than Jesus.

Cary, NC is known as the Containment Area for Relocated Yankees by the locals.

well, they love their stupid mustard-based barbecue sauce even more:)

Thank you, NCAA. A very conservative friend just introduced us to an adult child of hers who is transitioning into a woman. North Carolina has no heart and its soul is in serious jeopardy

So there are signs of intelligent life at the NCAA.

Next step
pull all D-I sports from our education system AND form semi-pro leagues and PAY that ahtletes who are basically part-time (none) students.

Way to GO, NCAA! Let’s ‘try’ and bring NC back into the realm of the sane.

You mean back in the days when the only thing preventing men from entering a women’s restroom to rape them was a door?

That’s South Carolina.
