The NCAA is all about money and they see this as a threat. How about they address the actual issues around college student athletes? Most people don’t realize that tons of these competitive sports programs aren’t actually graduating their student athletes at high rates. And sometimes a majority are not graduating.
There are many other problems like you site, but reforming these things would be costly to the institution and cushy jobs of the NCAA people.
Does anyone else here understand this is going to mean the end of NCAA women’s sports? If you can’t keep trans males out of the bathroom, you’re not going to be able to keep them off the girl’s cross-country, tennis, softball teams either. When you have biological males playing with women, who do you think are going to win the Title 9 scholarships to college now? We will end up with co-ed sports and women’s sports as we have known it will be gone. If you think this is nonsense, you haven’t read Obama’s memo he tossed out and then threatened any schools that didn’t comply. The “trans female” winner of gold in this year’s Olympics is a sign that this is being taken way too far.
That’s right, NCAA, grab NC by the short hairs and keep that grip until the bigots say uncle.

Really, if it’s discrimination to keep them out of the bathroom, then it’s discrimination to keep them out of the locker rooms, showers, and sports teams. You’re really sounding like a bigot here if you disagree.

Transgender people do not suddenly decide to change their gender and then suddenly decide to change it back.
Transgenderism is a medically recognized issue, and it NEVER involves any of the things you are fantasizing about.

Pulling the NBA All-Star game is one thing. But when you cancel NCAA Basketball games in NC, you are making this an existential issue.

I saw a man win a woman’s race and women complained about it too. Perhaps you didn’t hear those comments. So, reality is slamming you in the face here. You can’t deny this is a threat to women’s sports. It’s already happening, but it’s clear you really don’t care. Agenda before people is how you roll.

We’re only caught in the middle because we allowed Republicans to take over. I hate to lose opportunities like these but I’m glad the NBA and NCAA recognize that North Carolina no longer deserves them.

I read it all and it was really informative. I didn’t exactly know what cisgender meant before for example and the biggie, “it isn’t about the anatomy-it’s the hormones” really nailed it.
After a year of taking hormones, the male starts to lose muscle and bone density which evens the playing field.
There ya go, advantage removed.

How many teenage transgenders are taking hormones – almost none, and in fact it is not recommended at their age. There you go – facts destroy your argument.
