He just signed a contract for $10/mil a year this past Decemeber. NBC needs to get him for a Contract breach, or they need to pay him a heavy severance if they dump him permanently.
Well, NBC could always hire Don Lemon to replace Brian Williams. At least Lemon appears to have graduated from college, unlike Williams. Plus, Lemon has the perfect network news surname and doesnât mind being an ass.
I suspect Williamsâs whole career is a charade. Time to audit all of his stories.

True, but those were not news anchors. Opinion people say nutty stuff all the time, they can get away with it. Williams also was sold as one of the most trusted names in news, etc. We are talking about a nightly national news show that has millions of viewers, far more than cable news. And he was the managing editor for that news. You canât be making stuff up.
The shame is that it took a lot of balls to go into a chopper in a combat zone, which none of the talking heads will do. Why on earth did he need to lie about it, that makes no sense. Sounds more like he has some slight âissuesâ, a lot of it being ego.

I really wish this could be an opportunity to call out Fox News.
Wow, he got only 18 college credits while not graduating. Thatâs embarrassing (not even a full year). Never knew that, good post. Seems like a nice guy, but probably should not be an anchor and managing editor for national news if he makes stuff up.

I bet all he was trying to do, with his war story, was to pick up some chicks. Otherwise, what was the point. The sad part is that, if he canât do it with his $10 million paycheck, no war story, real of fake, will do the trick.
If Brian Williams is taking himself off the air, I recommend that he consider leaving himself off the air.

How is it for the best? He does a good job reading the news reports, and if he is the editor, as I understand he is, he also does a good job with that. Just because he fantasized a bigger involvement with the action in Iraq, many years ago, doesnât mean anything except that he is a imperfect person. There are far too many ânews reportersâ who simply act as mouthpieces for whatever the Republicans in Congress want said to even consider a punishment for Mr Williams. Letâs start with the whole Fox news team, for example.
Theyâre going to put him on the Climate Change desk when he comes back.

Huh, what??? Donât think so at least not for news types. As of 2007, 120 helicopters were lost in Iraq (for comparison purposes 3300 were lost in the Viet Nam war). Riding in a helicopter in Iraq was not an act of unbridled courage. But I do believe this thing has been blown way out of proportion.
I agree with Chammy and rev. The thing is he has told this story for years and gotten away with it. He brought it up once again and someone decided to actually verify the story. It has been proven false. Then you have the Katrina story which he claimed to see a body floating down the street next to his ritzy hotel. The story behind that story is their were reports by 2 different reporters saying they saw this body. I think Williams heard the story and used it as his witness account for dramatic point. In both cases. But they never happened to him personally. Brian Williams for all his success is a freaking dumbazz. These people in the national spotlight have huge Egoâs and seem to think no one will look into their storiesâŚ
A co worker of mine lost a previous job and he claimed for years that he lost all his pension money when the company shutdown. Well turns out the govât guarantees a certain amount when a company goes under under the Federal Pension laws. So I have not told the guy this personally. But he is freaking lying out his azz. Everyone knows it. Why? Who cares⌠But all it takes if you are lying about something is for someone to look into your story.

I graduated, and I am a PE. But thatâs not the point. Had he not gone to college, totally different. He went, and apparently flunked out. Oh he is saying he quit, but I bet he was dismissed.
I was comparing him to the other talking heads first of all. Second, it still takes balls. Sure it took LOTS more balls to do it in Vietnam due to terrain, etc. But itâs still much braver than the talking heads criticizing him from their studios.

Ummm, there is not a âdeskâ for Climate Change. Itâs a scientific field.
Heâs been married to the same lady since 1986, and I have seen zero evidence he is fooling around. I see some ego issues perhaps, but by all accounts he is a loyal family guy.
To me, it appears Lemon did not even graduate from the short bus.
