The article fails to mention her attempt to humanize Alex Jones and the fact that quite a few viewers tuned out after that. Also, it wasn’t just one comment about blackface. She made a series of very problematic comments about feminists and racism. Her downfall has little to do with her supposed attempts to hold NBC’s feet to the fire on sexual harassment and everything to do with her shitty ratings driven by her even shittier personality and views. Her little cute comments she could get away with on Fox didn’t play well to the rest of the country.
