The thing about Megyn Kelly’s recent history that really stands out to me is the massive irony from the fact that she drew Trump’s ire–him calling her a lightweight, the bleeding comment, and so on–from the one time I can think of when she actually wasn’t a lightweight, when she called him out in that early GOP primary debate for his long history of trashing women.

That REALLY pisses me off. As Atrios at Eschaton.com pointed out when the Kelly debacle hit the fan, the reason the racist Megyn was hired is because of the racism of Andrew Lack. He wanted to grab some of the bigoted yahoo audience of FoxNews, and he thought he could use Kelly to get it
I cannot believe that motherfucker still has a job after all the disasters he has caused to the reputation and profits of NBC News. I know if I hired a blatant racist (and it’s not like her racism wasn’t on full display at FoxNews) who had the popularity of shower mildew and then had to end up paying her $69M to get her sorry ass out the door, I’d be out of a fucking job. Andy Lack should be picking up soda cans for recycling to pay his bills, as far as I am concerned.

If there is no non-compete clause and no non-disparagement clause and NBC has to pay the full tab, what did NBC get out of this agreement? They would have been better off keeping her off the air, paying her week by week, and hoping she said/did something actionable so they could fire her for cause.

Ever since George W Bush won a second term in 2004, I have made it a point to see what the propaganda channel is saying by watching on average about once a week. I can never watch for more than 15 minutes without my fact check meter going haywire and my mourning for America overwhelming me.
Meagan was a star there, and far smarter than her dim but aggressive bullying cohorts. She was also a vicious opponent of liberalism and moderation, and a brilliant surgical assassin, demolishing progressive policies with misinformation and dishonest distractions.
It baffles me how anyone thought that NBC could put her on air without the mainstream Today audience ( I assume politically mixed) , not remembering her dutiful and vicious hyper-partisan work for the great Rupert Murdock extremist campaign to do harm to us all.
If it was unclear, the propaganda channel I was referring to is FOX.
