So Michael Flynn’s son is now being investigated? The fruit doesn’t fall far from the tree.

That’s sort of inevitable. His son was too involved in his lobbying to stay outside of the net Mueller has around Flynn himself. And his son is even stupider.

At least clowns like Manafort got something out of it. Dumbass Flynn Jr. didn’t fall far from the tree. Sad.

Remember the days when there was absolutely no Trump connectivity to Russia. We are getting close if not in the moment of “I tried it, but didn’t inhale.”

Nice to see Flynn back in the news. Lots of stories about him today. The news stories seem to hint strongly at Flynn getting paid to work for Russian and Turkish government interests and failing to disclose. But I think there’s more than that here.

I think this could also be tied to the data laundering track of #trumprussia. Flynn was a named contact by Peter Smith. Smith was coordinating with Russian backed hackers to find ‘missing emails’ on Hillary and release them through Wikileaks. Flynn was military intel, and had a lot of knowledge about that sort of activity. There’s another track - of stealing or transferring voter data to the Russians which was then weaponized on social media. Cambridge Analytica and Kushner are generally viewed as intermediaries, but did Flynn have a role in that too?

In addition, Flynn was first embroiled in #trumprussia because of his coordination with Russia during the transition on the issue of sanctions. This would give rise to Logan Act violations. However, Sally Yates and Comey both said that Flynn’s underlying conduct was troubling and that he was at risk of blackmail by the Russians. It seems like more than just talking about lifting sanctions. A question I have pondered and posed is whether Flynn had access to intelligence which he shared with the Russians (and maybe the Turks). Was he effectively bribed to support Russian interests against those of his government, and did the Russians demand tangible things, not just policy changes, but also intel? When Trump shared intel with the Russians in the Oval Office, it felt like the Russians were expecting him to do so. They didn’t seem surprised. Maybe it wasn’t the first time? Flynn had security briefings dating all the way back to August. Did he share things he learned then?

Trump is truly the frog in the pot of water. The temperature is rising very slowly, but sooner or later, he and his criminal gang will be boiled. This is a good thing, in my opinion. Please keep working away, Director Mueller. We need you.

I relish the idea of entire families — the Trumps, the Flynns — being locked up and removed from law-abiding society.

Attacks on trump based on Russia or indeed other things simply aren’t effective. This is sobering reading for Dems, we need a new strategy.
