Please know that MANY folks (myself included) have been taken aback by his tactics and his insistence that he’s being “rigged” out of whatever he believes is rightfully his. I’ve been very offended by Bernie lately. As a long-time Democratic Party member, I welcomed Bernie into the fold, to run as a Democrat. When the DNC reached out to some of us to seek our opinion on the possibility, I responded that I thought we should be welcoming to his addition. I told them that Bernie has been a pretty solid Progressive vote and has caucused with us for a long time. Shit, I wish I’d dug a little more into his past, his disdain for the Democratic Party and our values. I feel bad for not doing my homework, but I also know that folks like you have been just as upset at his tactics. You’re a good person, from what I’ve seen here on these threads, and I know you’re like many of us … surprised, even stunned by what his campaign has turned into. I don’t like the man anymore. At this stage, I do not see how he can effectively salvage his reputation – a reputation that wasn’t deserved, evidently.

Allowed to run in the sense of using the resources of the Democratic Party, it’s infrastructure, its voter rolls, its funding apparatus, its name, setting up debates between him and the real Democratic candidate, using the Democratic Party copyrighted material, getting placed in the Democratic Party slots on state ballots.
Otherwise, he’s be some lone voice howling into the wilderness, like Gary Johnson.

Were he to announce a third party run, the money would come flooding in. From Sheldon Adelson, from the Koch brothers, from Karl Rove, and probably from Trump himself, not to mention Republican office holders and rank and file across the country.

However, my post was imprecise. What clearly occurred is that Sanders received some encouragement and support from the big, bad, corrupy party machine when he expressed an interest in running.

That’s right Bernie, superdelegates have a responsibility and that is why they are supporting Hillary, the one who beat you by winning more votes and delegates. And, the delegates can cite polls showing her beating Trump more handily than you, the primary loser.

What do you say about HRC having 3+ million more votes (so far) than you? OK, OK, if you count caucus states, she has 2.9+ million more votes than you.
It’s sad that a statesmen I once admired, has fallen so far in my eyes. Sore loser, loudmouth, sad really!

Its called journalistic ethics, something which I believe that Todd believes in. People love to bash the media–ie.first witness, Donald Trump!–but in the reviled-especially-by-Sarah-Palin-types world of the mainstream media, most journalists go out of their way to uncover the real facts. On the other hand, the right-wing scum media nearly always, Chris Wallace and Megan Kelly being the obvious if mostly very occasional exceptions, places partisan Republican gains above all else.
