If by awkward he means âhilariously easy joke-target prancing around like a megalomaniacal media whore with brand new clown shoesâ then yeah, âawkward.â
there is plenty of room for mittens in the clown car. please please please run mitt.
You know, I was thinking the other day when I saw what his âplatformâ is going to be that heâs not going to even place in the top 3 contenders. No way. Part of his scam is to be some kind of champion against poverty. Hereâs the thing: NO ONE believes that and the GOP base doesnât want to hear it. They think thatâs the problem of âthose others.â Income inequality speaks well to the Dem base; the arrogance of job creators speaks well to the GOP base.
Heâs gonna find out what Huntsman found out: if youâre not reaching your base, you get to go home. in Round 1. If he was disappointed before, heâs got a whole 'nother round of hurt to deal with.
Romney 2016 Run âWill Be Awkwardâ
yes, and the sun will set in the west âŚ
Oh, oh, ohâŚdonât forget the new clown CAR tooâŚIâm excited to see the make and model roll out.
âAwkwardâ will happen when Mittens and Jebbie jostle each other for the seat at the table next to the one-percenter whoâll give his order to one or the other.
The Romney run was awkward in 2012, of course it would be just as awkward in 2016. Seriously, itâs like Rich Lowry isnât actually paying attention. Hey conservative âintellectuals,â the first step to dealing with a problem is admitting you have one.
He didnât really reach the base in 2012, so it makes sense that he didnât learn that lesson. And his ânewâ platform is still up for grabs to highest bidder.
Actually, I am half way thinking that Romney is being encouraged by The Powers That Be in the GOP to run because that want to ensure that the campaign debate is an establishment debate, and shoulder out as many of the nutjobs as they can before the campaign starts. If they can get the media to latch on to a Bush vs. RomneyâŚwith maybe a Christie on the side, they are 3/4 of the way there.
Plus, the Bush financial issues that the left has started some early sniffing around about, never sees any time on the republican stage. Neither Bush nor Romney is going to pull a Perry and call the other a vulture capitalist. So those issues cease to exist for them.
Your answer doesnât need Lowryâs premise* to be correct: it isnât in the least necessary for Mitt to re- re- run for POTUS to be or even just look âawkwardâ. Dude had awkward down pat in middle school, then never matured out of it.
Iâm not suggesting that Rich Lowry is as socially retarded as Mitt Romney. Lowry is notably more.
Iâm not suggesting that Lowry is wrong to issue an implied warning against Romneyâs latest candidacy. Both Lowry and Romney are awkward and dangerously wrong, however Lowry edits a largely marginalized anachronism that soon will be owned by Michael Mann anyway, so is mostly just irritating; whereas, Romney has way more money backing him than can possibly be good for this nation or its citizens.

I get what youâre saying but, as with Huntsman, at the end of the day, you need the base to vote for you. Youâve got to speak to them before you speak to the country. If they arenât buying what youâre selling then Iâm not clear on what  The Powers That Be in the GOP are expecting to happen.
Emotionally and politically, they arenât connecting with him.
Romney 2016 Run âWill Be Awkwardâ
âŚyeah ⌠about this awkward ⌠times 10âŚ
Mitt: Yes, Iâm all about the poors, look how many of them Iâve created.
To be fair, anything Mitt does in 2016 will be awkward including getting out of bed in the morning and brushing his teeth before bed.
Oh yeah, this time, it will be âawkward.â Not at all like his prior two runs that were totally not best described by that exact word.
If thatâs really going to be Romneyâs pitch then his famous flip-flopping has officially become a rudderless weathervane. This disingenuous plea for attention will dissolve the last shreds of credibility.
What a craven narcissist.
We donât need a new clown car but a clown âShort BusââŚ
Iâm pretty sure the GOP is going to need a clown car elevator by the time the primaries begin.
Well, this is coming from a guy who knows what it is to be awkward:
Iâm sure Iâm not the only male in America who, when Palin dropped her first wink, sat up a little straighter on the couch and said, âHey, I think she just winked at me.â And her smile. By the end, when she clearly knew she was doing well, it was so sparkling it was almost mesmerizing. It sent little starbursts through the screen and ricocheting around the living rooms of America.
