District Judge William LaFortune should be charged as an accessory to first-degree murder.
Good luck getting a competent attorney to use that line of defense in a court where weed is still illegal. The court doesnât adjudicate cases based on what people âshouldâ care about. Itâs based on whatâs on the books. Most people gave up asking to be treated contrary to the rules when they were 12.
Condemning those who break unjust laws and not the unjust laws themselves and the unjust enforcement of those laws is extremely myopic and patronizing. Maybe addressing inequity in the criminal-justice system should be given priority over wagging your privileged, whitesplaining finger in the faces of poor people selling dime bags.
It worked for this violent racist murderer with the scary brown victims, didnât it?
(918) 596-8606 is his office number; let him know how you feel!
It is not at all clear to me what the judge was thinking. He let this murdering creep out of jail when he had every duty and right to keep him incarcerated. While we cannot protect everybody everywhere all the time we can certainly incarcerate for as long as the laws permit those who drive vehicles into neighbors they have been threatening.
Advocates are doing just that. Mistreatment and unjust laws get changed all the time. Unfortunately it very often happens due to a large number of people suffering those injustices. One guy getting 55 years for selling an ounce of marijuana wonât get the sentencing law changed. A thousand people getting 55 years might. Even now we see efforts at equalizing sentences for sale of cocaine and crack, where sentencing inequities have existed for years. However, placing yourself in that pool of one thousand unfairly sentenced people it took to get the sentencing laws changed was your choice, and your choice alone. Bad choices have bad consequences sometimes. Crying âNo one should care aboutâ what youâve done is nonsense.
I guarantee you that the Tulsa Cops let this maniac go because they AGREED WITH HIM.
âTulsa police confirmed to the newspaper that their department received a call from Jabara about âsuspicious activityâ and arrived to investigate, but cleared the call shortly before Majors allegedly shot Jabara.â
A convicted FELON with a GUN and a restraining order and the cops just âcleared the callâ and drove away?!?!?!
(this is the Tulsa âGood âOlâ Boyâ network at work here.)
This is THE TULSA COPS FAULT and the will get away with it because they are cops.
I bet they are laughing about it right now.
Maybe. I doubt their legal representatives and insurers are giddy. And their laughter may subside when their pension fund is assigned responsibility for remitting a percentage of the negligence award.
A Convicted FELON, with a GUN, who had a RESTRAINING ORDER against him for prior assault with a vehicle (almost killed this woman earlier) who had been released by a âGood âOlâ Boyâ judge and sent back home right next door to them.
The Tulsa Cops were called about this lunatic and âcleared the callâ and left (white privilege/racism at itâs worst.)
Whoever these officers were they should be fired for letting this maniac harass, assault, and now kill these people out of pure racism.
And donât let them turn around and join the local Sheriffs Dept. afterwards (that is what dirty cops do. They get kicked off of the major city police departments. and are IMMEDIATELY hired by the local Sheriffs dept.to continue their dirty deeds.)
There is nothing more annoying and potentially dangerous than a bully. The authorities could have issued a restraining order or if violated arrested him.
These folks were soft on him. We all know heâs be doing time If he âburned his draft card on Main Streetâ.
Yeesh. Another poster child for white male christian supremacy.
Why is it white supremacists always seem to be such (cough, cough) stellar examples of the race?
There was a restraining order and it was violated, the authorities still let him go.
Matriarch Haifa Jabara received a protective order against him in November 2013 after she told a Tulsa County judge that he had harassed her and âis very racist towards foreigners and blacks,â the newspaper reported. The order prohibited Majors from going near Jabara or her home or possessing firearms until 2018. Still, the racial slurs and death threats continued, causing Majors to be charged with violating the protective order in March 2015, though he was released from jail after posting bond.
Heck, they still set and let him out on bail after he escalated to vehicular assault.
In September 2015, Majors drove his vehicle into Haifa Jabara and sped off, leaving her with a broken shoulder and other injuries, according to the Tulsa World. He was charged with assault and battery with a deadly weapon, public intoxication, leaving the scene of a collision involving injury, and yet again violating the protective order. Despite his history with the Jabara family and Tulsa prosecutorsâ determination that he was a âriskâ to the public, District Judge William LaFortune set bail for Majors after he spent only eight months in jail. He was granted bond and released in May, the Tulsa World reported.
So, he violates a protective order, gets arrested, gets out on bail, runs the subject of the protective order over, gets arrested, gets out on bail, murders the subject of the protective orderâs son, gets arrested, and, going by the Tulsa authorities track record so far, should be out on bail again shortly. This family should sue the ever loving shit out of Tulsa.
If you tint Stanley Vernon Majors a Cheeto orange, shave him and work on the comb over, heâs Donald Trumpâs twin!
Just unbelievable on so many levels, and so incredibly sad. Such bizarre and blind hatred is almost impossible to comprehend.
#Khalid Jabara: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know
I wrote that comment earlier this morning, before coffee. I did not mean to lessen the horror of committing a murder simply based on ethnicity, religious beliefs or any other factor. My contention is that by labeling some crimes as âhate-basedâ you somehow diminish all other kinds of crimes. They are all horrible, and I do care that âHillaryâs opponentâ has been actively exploiting bigotry and prejudice. Apologies if you inferred that I was in any way apologizing for this behavior. Iâm hugely interested in language and itâs uses and abuses. I do sometimes go off on tangents about the proper forms of speech. As-salÄmu Ężalaykum.
Despite the fact that he will deny it, and the only proof would be if this guy confesses it, we all know who is fueling the voices of hatred in this country. Disgusting is too kind a word to use, but the Drumpf campaign is every bit deserving of the descriptor.
Can the DOJ get involved? Loretta Lynch and the Feds might have some substantive bones to pick with the Tulsa police dept here
TMP should apologize for using the wrong picture. It was actually a projection of what Trump will look like after the election.
