Discussion: 'Morning Joe' Host Scarborough Says He's Done With Republican Party

I will respect Joe 5 times as much as I respected him before… no, 100 times as much.

But you’re fine with making money off of them…

Oh, that was all it took?

Ummmmm…was the starting point zero? Or is the needle actually moving now?

On the one hand, yawn…big deal. On the other…hopefully he starts a trend and a little polite golf course applause for this effort.

I’ll believe it when I see it. You’re a dependable Republican gasbag. When they lead Trump away in handcuffs and Pence takes the helm, you’ll be there to advance ‘the cause’ again and you know it.

Things have been too quiet for Joe, lately. He needs more attention now.

The only Republicans willing to speak out are those no longer in office or in think tanks or other positions where they don’t have to face voters. That’s easy.

The needle doesn’t move until Republicans currently sitting in the House or Senate pull away from supporting Trump. Then we can get somewhere.

When John McCain makes this claim, and for once actually holds the same view for more than 12 hours, then I would be impressed…

This? Meh…

Yeah, I’m going to have to sit back and wait on this one…

Not a problem Joe. Lots of Republicans claim to be independents because they are too embarrassed to admit they vote R.

Yet he couldn’t shut the fuck up this morning about Bill Clinton, saying the Democrats were as guilty in the 1990s for defending a liar as the Republicans are for now for defending a treasonist mob figure. Yeah, right, Joe.

I think Joe’s a publicity whore who will do anything for attention. However, in my family there are several Republicans who watch Morning Joe religiously, and this actually might make quite an impression on them. None of them were ever Trump admirers, though.

Really. All I can say is: a little late, nimrod!

See, when you give up being a Republican you can go on TV with a great haircut and a cool hipster type suit and Hollywood movie star tan instead of looking like a conservative stick up your ass dweeb.

Joe went on Colbert’s primarily to slog an EP he’s just released, Welcome To The Monkey House. He felt obligated to say something more than “just buy my album.”

No, not anymore. I watch their show almost every morning now because they’re by far more brutal on PP than anyone else. Will he revert back under Pence? Sure. They all will. But right now we’ve only got today.

Que up Bill Maher and other shows frantically calling his agent this morning, trying to get him on their shows.

KA-CHING!

This is a symbolic gesture; there will be no change in his show’s format or his right wing leanings. It just to turn up the lights on the “feud” him and Mika are having with Trump. Which I personally believe is more about ratings than actual feuding.

If only he had that kind of conviction during the election. Or years before when the GOP turned into a den of petulant children
