But we’ll still know the truth.
It doesn’t mean squat unless he changes how he votes and who he supports on air.
Case in point, his Gumby-esque, Bazooka Joe hair…
Easy for Joe, he has already cashed in. Ryan is still angling for his payoff. McConnell I don’t get, he has gotten paid off, why is he still shillin?
This reminds me that everytime I hear that MSNBC is the liberal FoxNews, I have to rack my brain for the name of the former democratic congressman who hosts to FoxNews morning show…anyone…?
Dennis Kucinich, while not having a regular morning show, was a paid contributor after retiring from Congress. (I think he still might even be under contract) And lets not forget Alan Colmes, who was so instrumental in Hannity’s rise by playing the liberal caricature that Hannity wanted.
Scarborough pointed to several of Donald Trump’s actions — his campaign-era Muslim ban proposal, his feigned ignorance of white supremacist David Duke, his attacks on Judge Gonzalo Curiel due to Curiel’s heritage — that he said the party had failed to confront.
Strangely enough, all those things happened before the election, yet Joe was still in there, holding the Republican line all the way through. Apparently, Joe just has extremely slow thought processes (or whatever passes for them in his head).
‘Morning Joe’ Host Scarborough Says He’s Done With Republican Party
Yeah, sure. Like I believe Trump and his gang saying they had no contact with any Russians at any time before Trump got elected POTUS.
I would suggest that this is positive. Whether Joe is doing this for ratings or if he is genuine is not that relevant to me - he is one vote. What matters is his ability to influence and perhaps even sway, right leaning Independents and moderate Republicans in his audience. Or at least cause them to re-think their decision to reflexively vote Republican.
We really do need to turn the House in 2018!
I agree, except that “the cause” a la Scarborough is a lot more palatable than “the cause” a la Trump. Death by a thousand cuts is really the only way the current Administration is going to suffer, so I’ll take this extra one for now.
5 x 0 = 0
100 x 0 = 0
Meh.
Me too, a thousand times in fact. But as Izzy’s mom points out: 1000*0=0. Republicans have been assholes for a long long time. Joe’s been hit over the head with the extreme that they’ve achieved, but isn’t owning his part in getting them there. Fuck him and thank God he didn’t join the Democrats.
Joe at least has some standards he expects his party to meet.
He’s been complaining about the GOP’s lack of interest in the assorted Trump scandals for some time now.
He is still a conservative—but he’s no radical right-winger and it’s pretty clear that the party has moved well to Scarborough’s right.
That this makes him uncomfortable is a good thing. It’s just possible that other genuine conservatives will follow his lead now that they don’t have to lead the parade.
An independent who’ll vote Republican 99.999% of the time.
The TEA party, however, he’ll keep tonguing their anuses until the end of time.
they helped elect Trump. now they refuse to take responsibility for our Countries crisis. Deport all Trump supporters to Russia. and into the arms of their Comrades. Trump should resign. immediately. the citizens of America cannot rely on Republicans who are in charge of our government. to preserve our Democracy!! load up the boats with Trump supporters. so they can go Home
For the discerning mind of followers of news, it probably amounts to jack squat, or at most a blip on the radar screen. Awaiting an elected, Republican politician with heft to do the same thing for more impact. Tick, tock, tick, tock,…
My point. Thanks.
If you watch his show, you’ll find he doesn’t care for the Tea Party, either.
He’s not an extremist, and he doesn’t support them.
His latest proclamation is little more than branding.
