The empathy is what allows us to see the malfunction in this man as it really exists. It also separates us from the man. If you do not see him as a damaged person and specifically what the damage is, then you loose some of the advantage of understanding on how to deal with him. I bet a well informed individual specializing in personality disorders could manipulate the hell out of him. This may actually be happening now with whoever is pulling his strings on high. Right now he has layers preventing access to him and opposing influences to take effect. I have said before that I worry he is being exploited both as a senior and as a narcissist.
In some respects he is that. The idea he is a malignant narcissist is pretty much accepted now. I suspect his emotional state is no better today than when he was 16. He does not see himself as older and has not grown emotionally. So his responses are very much like that, immature and raw.
They may actually be on to something. Imagine his response to the op-ed. Iām sure that weāll hear tonight. But if everyone acknowledged that āheās not well,ā it would be a huge psychic wound, A news report that acknowledged āthis is totally unacceptable, but, as the country and the world have acknowledged, he is not wellā¦ā What if reports started with āThe President, whose handlers must protect him as much as possible from news that will disturb him, may have heard the truth from an unguarded comment, and the country and world are bracing for what is sure to be a backlash from the unstable leaderā¦ā How would he respond? (Besides firing anyone and everyone who had any control, competence, or ability to functionā¦)
Iām thinking of some of the excellent kidās programing on PBS. Who wants to chip in so we can buy him every āMr. Rogerās Neighborhoodā episode?
Why? What message would be conveyed by such a photo? I personally still believe that when they go low, we should go high. Also, i thought the broad consensus was that the Kathy G. photo was unacceptable, even for a horrible popular-vote loser president.
Just heard that, on GMA, Kellyanne Kockenlocker (H/T: Preston Sturges) stated (psychotically) that the media hurts women by reporting on Trumpās sexist tweets instead of promoting Trumpās tax reform plan (which, BTW, does not exist except in the candy-colored caverns of KCās head).
She really is out of her peroxide-infused, motherfucking mind, isnāt she? I truly hope Trump and his team keep using these brilliant spokespeople to promote his policies and excuse his behavior.
And Rand Paul and Ted Cruz and the rest of the GOP batshits will agree with Trump and Sen. āSassyā Sasse, while the rest of the GOP senators hide in their bathrooms over the holiday weekend, since they know that shit sandwiches arenāt the most tasty treat at a 4th of July barbecue.
