Discussion: Mom Of Santa Fe Victim On Meeting Trump: 'Like Talking To A Toddler'

He doesn’t do well with the touchy feely thing. Except for the occasional non consensual feel.

Aw, f***.

I’m sure that the psychological screening will be so very thorough, and weed out all the applicants who are unable to find other jobs because they were damaged by their service. And that no adrenaline junkies need apply.

He took a moment out from his destination of two big fundraisers to pretend he gives a shit in front of grieving families.

He doesn’t embrace his wife or his son, he air kisses them, and that’s his germ phobia on display. OTOH he happily grabs Ivanka’s hips and examines her from top down.

I hope the Stoneman families become the biggest anti-trump voting bloc in the country this November.

Maybe he mocked the victims and their families at the fund-raisers to get the crowd laughing and loosen up their purses.

Pamela Stanich — whose 17-year-old son, Jared Black, was among the eight students killed — was one of the parents who met with Trump, presenting him with a family statement and a copy of her son’s eulogy.

Trump “met with us privately and showed sincerity, compassion, and concern on making our schools safer across the nation,” she wrote in a Facebook post after the meeting. “He spent time talking to the survivors and asking on what happened and what would have made a difference. Changes are coming for the good. Thank you Mr. Trump.”

Gullible much, Pamela?

She’s a Texan and they are mostly still true believers, unlike our @tena and @antisachetdethe (who’s gone missing lately), but they get it.

@geofu54 I have several toddlers living next door to me, delightful little girls who smile and gurgle and look pretty and are a pleasure to spend a few minutes with. A few minutes with PP would be like a life sentence with no chance for parole

I would take toddlers over the Orange Fuckery Brain any day of the week…

Returned hug of 8-yr old MD boy? Yes, even a psychopath has a soft side for kids and pets. We’re hard wired for that level of empathy. Don’t conflate that with empathy for the less fortunate – the poor, the hungry, the dispossessed.

This jerk is a psychopath! Textbook! A friend since college is a psychologist with a world wide reputation in these matters says Trump is a stone psychopath and narcissist to boot. This treatment of immigrant kids is pure psychopathy – acts of unspeakable meanness and with no justification at all. Ditto for the genocide in Puerto Rico to execute shock doctrine. Ditto with cutting Medicaid for our poorest citizens. I have a relative with chronic and life-threatening illness. She lives in terror of losing her Medicaid without which she’ll die and die a horrible death.

This is OUR president.

OT, but one of the moms is having a bit of trouble dealing with the 3-year old’s adjustment to the 2-month old. She used to get all the attention, now the baby’s drawing a lot away and so there’s a lot of pouting going on.

Inevitably, Trump will fabricate an alternative fact mythology of the “Texas mom” who begged him to arm teachers. Suitable for repetition ad nauseam at his panderthons … I mean campaign rallies.

For the life of me, I can’t understand why any parent, much less a Parkland or Santa Fe parent, would even go to such a meeting. Talk about a waste of time.

99.99% of all guard duty in the US military is done with weapons, but no ammo. The US miltary fully understands that it’s not guns that kill people - it’s bullets. They don’t want their soldiers and sailors getting shot. You know, I’m sure, there’s always an idiot in any crowd. It’s far too expensive patching them up, and it’s bad press. I think the young lady may be on to something.

Note how Trump focuses on the firearms, teachers with guns and the trench coat. Like a child who is enamored with the GI Joe with Kung Fu grip. He can’t compartmentalize between military hardware the shooter and offering empathy.
As a New Yorker it’s not surprising it took him years to visit or donate to the 9/11 Memorial. He’d go off on a tangent about box cutters.

As Reagan the actor showed us, once you can fake sincerity you’ve got it made as a politician.

From CBS News: “As President Trump signed the “Right to Try Act” into law Wednesday afternoon, 8-year-old Jordan McLinn of Indiana bashfully attempted to hug the president, who missed his first few tries. After a third attempt, the two embraced.”

Heartfelt, I’m sure. Bet Тяцшр was screaming for Purell as soon as the conference broke up.
